I did not have a good experience with Dr. Grua. The wrong dose of prednisone was sent to the pharmacy and I started into Addisonian crisis before I figured out I wasn't getting enough. No apology or concern was shown after by him or his office. He is very slow to respond to telephone questions. (4-5 days) As a new patient with Addisons I needed some guidance. Four calls in 12 months so I was not a winy patient. If it weren't for medical people in my own family I would have been lost.

Dr. Grua is very knowledgeable and thorough, and I recommend him highly. I've dealt with four endocrinologists over the last 12 years in the SLC area, and Dr. Grua is among the two that I would recommend. He has worked with my family on issues related to pituitary, thyroid, and parathyroid hormones. We had issues with blood calcium, testosterone, kidney stones, prolactin, and growth hormone, and he has been so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful on all fronts.

Dr. Gura made me feel comfortable, but he seemed to just want to prescribe prescriptions and move on to the next patient I was in the a room for 15 minutes at the most, no real resolve on my issue, and was dinged a outrageous fee for a new patient charge. A waste of time and money for me.
