On a scale of 1-5 for expertise and bedside manner, Dr. James Gordon scores a 10. On a scale of 1-5 for his surgical scheduling nurse's communication, she scores a -20. My husband's cataract surgery went so well that he felt he could drive a day following the operation because his distance vision was so good. However, after a covid test and eye drop prep for four days preceding the operation, we were very upset about not getting a time for the procedure until 3:30 p.m. from the surgical coordinator. She LACKS coordination!

After over a decade using Dr. Gordon for routine eye exams, it was time for him to correct my vision with cataract surgery. I have valued his experiences as an ophthalmologist, his commitment to details, and his professional interaction with patients. I had no doubt he would guide me through the process with a successful result.

Dr. Gordon is the kindest doctor. I’ve consulted many others for a serious problem, which they couldn’t care less about. He listened to me “babble on and on” as my husband said and gave me good advice. He operated on me 2 months later. Dr. Gordon and I were both amazed at how good the results turned out. Not just a super competent surgeon, but a great human. It was truly life-changing. Thank you.

My experience at SightMD (Harrison, N.Y.) has been very pleasant. I visited many doctors before I found Dr. James R. Gordon. In 2018 I had a blepharoplasty performed by another doctor that left me unrecognizable. After our first visit, Dr. Gordon immediately began to formulate a plan to fix the issues. He was very patient and took his time listening to all my concerns. He explained the procedure in detail and set clear expectations about the recovery. After the surgery, the follow-up went well and I feel great about the recovery. He has made it possible for me to continue living my life looking exactly how I should. He is an excellent doctor.

I found Dr. James Gordon to be exactly as everyone else describes him; honest, trustworthy and an overall decent human being & physician. His advice was straightforward and totally sincere to me. It's rare that you meet a cosmetic surgeon who tells you that you don't need surgery, and on top of that give a name of another cosmetic surgeon who may preform the surgery better since it would be a "small procedure". This is the kind of physician who you want to put your faith in.

When I first met dr James Gordon I knew right away that I choose the right doctor. He is very compassionate extremely knowledgeable has great bedside manners. He made me very comfortable and took away my nervousness. He did cataract and lens surgery on both my eyes within the past two months. I am very happy w the results and the healing was easy and fast. The surgery was easier than what I expected I would recommend dr Gordon to everyone. He treats his patients like he would a family member. Ms Eleanore Norris

I am 2 weeks past my upper eyelid blepharoplasty and i could not be happier! From the initial consult with Dr. James Gordon, throughout surgery and followup, all has gone well. There was minimal swelling and bruising in the days following the surgery. The office and surgical facilities are both well run and spotless. Everyone makes you feel comfortable to ask questions, although everything is thoroughly explained. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon.

After a thorough search, I settled on Dr. Gordon due to all the stellar reviews. I even made the trek from the city to the Mamaroneck office (btw, it was super-easy) because I wanted to consult with the best, and I was right: Dr. Gordon is the consummate doctor. He listens, ensures he understands what your problem or concern is and talks you through his recommended course of treatment. He also doesn't settle for a good outcome - he strives for great. Great sense of humor, too. Happy I found him!

I saw Dr. Gordon today for a consultation for facial scars. He is compassionate, kind and honest. He doesn't upsell products or treatments, and he prepared me for realistic expectations. I will be returning to his office for filler and laser resurfacing.

I have been seeing Dr.Gordon for lip fillers for a couple of years now. The office in Manhattan is conveniently located and the staff is courteous. I like my lips to look a little fuller he made my lips look amazing! His bedside manners are so friendly and welcoming. He made them look fuller but also natural and that's exactly what he did. Moreover, I experienced no pain or bruising, just great results. I strongly recommend Dr. Gordon!

I highly recommend that you check out Dr. James Gordon for his professionalism, honesty - "Super Gifted Talented Surgeon" I am glad I went to see him after reading the reviews 4days ago for advice for the lower hollow under the eyes. He suggested the fillers instead of surgery due to my situation of under eyes. He injected 1st round of fillers & wow the results are awesome with no pain/no bruises. I am thrilled to see him again in 5weeks. If you want the real deal Dr. Gordon is the one.
