Baltimore, MD |
I was referred to Dr. Dreese/Dr. Segley by a physical therapist friend of mine when I expressed concerns about meeting with a doctor who understand the importance of an active lifestyle. Dr. Segley explained the source of my knee pain and reviewed the pros and cons of rehabilitation vs. scope for a meniscus tear - I elected surgery with Dr. Dreese. Dr. Dreese exceeded all expectations; the surgery went well, and after the recommended rest period, I have resumed most of my prior activities.

One of the most thorough and professional surgeons and staff that I've ever been associated with.

I went in for a relatively minor surgery. Bucket handle tear. Horrible experience overall. Staff is incompetent. I had real questions that were not answered or were ignored. For instance how many days should I expect to be off work? No answer! Dr. Dreese gave me maybe 45 minutes of 1on1 (includes surgery, about 3-5 minutes pre-op and NO post-op time). 1st scheduled surgery was cancelled. I wanted surgery from other Dr, but I was informed other doctors would be stepping Dreeses toes!

Dr. Dreese is a fantastic orthopedic surgeon! He performed an arthroscopy on my knee to fix a torn meniscus and did a fantastic job! He explains medical conditions/symptoms in terms I can easily understand. He fully explained options and approaches to address the remediation of the tear. His staff, both PA's and administrative, are 2nd to none! Dr. Dreese's personality and 'patient first' demeanor made me feel as though I was his only patient

Dr. Dreese was the best decision I could ever have made! Dr. Dreese performed my surgery through 5 little incisions. I have recovered much faster than I believe I would have if the entire shoulder would have been open. His approach to movement and PT after surgery helped me progress faster than I thought possible.

Great experience, Great results!
in Baltimore, MD |
Absolutely an excellent doctor. Diagnosed my problem and explained to me exactly what was wrong. I never felt rushed in the office as he would spend as much time with me as I wanted. Dr. Dreese then did surgery on my shoulder and followed up with me for the following 6 months by regular one month office visits to make sure the PT was progressing as it should. Dr. Dreese's professionalism and wonderful bed side manner make him an excellent doctor. A+++ experience!

Dr. Dreese performed a chondroplasty on my knee. It was my first surgery and he really walked me through everything, gave me options and made me feel comfortable. I am now 2 moths post-op and everything is recovering well. I would absolutely recommend him to my family and friends!
in Marriottsville, MD |
Excellent care from pre-surgery, surgery and follow-up.
in Ellicott City, MD |
I realize that not everyone's body will respond the same way, but my surgery and recovery have been smoother than I even hoped for. I had a meniscus tear in my left knee that had allowed the cartilage to fold over and was preventing me from running. Dr. Dreese performed a meniscectomy and cleaned up the torn area. As of today, it has been two weeks and five days since my surgery and I'm already feeling pretty normal (back to doing most of my exercise, etc.). Highly recommend Dr. Dreese.

Dr. Dreese is the "go-to" surgeon for hamstring avulsion. His level of knowledge, his ability to communicate this knowledge with his patients and his sense of urgency is above reproach. Were it not for his insight and intervention regarding a serious accident I had and subsequent reattachment surgery which he performed within a critical window of time, I would likely not be at the level of improving recovery and swim-bike-run performance I have at just the 7 month post-surgery mark.
Boonsboro, MD |
he is a very friendly person, and patient with his patients.
in Westminster, MD |
Acl repair surgery, 3 follow up surgeries. 2 years ago. Still crippled. Lost my business of 15 yrs. Staff awefull. Left me hurt and without answers. 2 Drs now tying to figure out what went wrong. Maybe good for others but completely dropped the ball with me and left me screwed and limping. 42. Worst Drs staff I have ever encounterd.
I have the utmost confidence and trust in Dr.Dreese. Dr. Dreese made sure he understood my goals before offering shoulder surgery as a treatment option. His explaination about surgery and recovery timeline helped ensure realistic expectations. I could not be more pleased with the results.
in Parkville, MD |
Dr. Dreese is an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner. His secretary, Brandi, was awesome as well. I'd recommend him to anyone I know who might be considering shoulder surgery.
in Parkville, MD |
2 yrs/2 surgeries - 5 torn hamstring tendons and Dr Dreese is the guy to see for such an injury. No one in the area has the experience and results that he has in repairing this injury. The staff was incredible, Dr. Dreese did amazing work. Both surgeries were flawless, my pain was well managed and my post surgical treatment set me up for an easy recovery. My scars are very thin and very difficult to see. Dr. Dreese and his team makes a very difficult situation so much easier!
Timonium, MD |
Awful. Had arthroscopy. My knee looked like a basketball. Was totally infected. Not diagnosed for a month - five office visits later. Was given an immobilizer, Lidocaine patches, and Tramadol. At final office visit my husband demanded he drain my knee. I was rushed to the hospital, was there for 6 days, sent home with PIC line. Missed months of work. Had to have visiting nurse daily to administer drip medication and take blood. Thank goodness for Dr. Campbell, the infectious disease doctor.
