Dr Bynum is conservative and does not jump straight to surgery. Got the pain out of my shoulder in a short amount of time. Would definitely give him a call.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bynum. After having been operated on by another doctor and not recovering I thankfully went to Dr. Bynum. He explained everything he was going to do? to make me better. I was operated on May 18th. The next day I was in rehab and have worked out every day since. Haven't felt this good in over a year. Dr. Bynum and his entire staff were professional, supportive and caring. I'm extremely grateful.
Estero, FL |
I have already recommended Dr. Bynum to several friends and they are as satisfied with their results and care as I am with mine. He's understanding, and truly recognizes that many of us want to keep exercising, regardless of the treatment or pain. He's great at managing the care and the process to gt rid of the pain and/or get you back to doing what you love to do, as quickly as possible.

I was able to get it taken care of that day. I have not had a problem since. You will be happy by choosing him.

Dr. Bynum is an outstanding physician! I had a torn rotator cuff and an issue with my bicep that severely restricted the range of motion of my left arm. Dr. Bynum performed surgery and fixed both problems at the same time without any issues or complications. I regained my full range of motion within 3 months and now live my life without pain or discomfort. Dr. Bynum is truly amazing!
in Ft Myers Beach, FL |
I first visited Dr. Bynum at Joint Implant Surgeons in January 2017. I had shoulder pain from bursitis and shoulder impingement. I was concerned I might need shoulder surgery. Dr Bynum put me on a program of anti inflammatory prescription, steroid shot & physical therapy. Six weeks later I had a second injection and continued PT. By my third visit six weeks later, my pain was 90% gone. PT motivated me to begin a physical fitness program at Planet Fitness. I'm doing fine today. Thank you!
in Punta Gorda, FL |
I have been seeing Dr. Bynum for almost 4 years for chronic hip inflammation due to arthritis. I was barely able to walk. For 4 years he's kept me up and running and active again. He is all about YOUR wellbeing. I spend a minimum of 4 hours roundtrip for every visit. But Dr. Bynum is well worth the drive. He has been a blessing for me and my husband.
in Cape Coral, FL |
Dr. Bynum took the time to totally explain where my pain was coming from and what actions to take to help. I am functioning much better now, I would certainly recommend Dr. Brynum to my family, friends and anyone who needs relief from joint pain.

Dr James Bynum corrected my hip problem with arthroscopic surgery. He clearly told me what to expect. He was honest and didn't give me false hope. The procedure was successful and my hip feels great. I'm able do the things I love without pain. He never rushed me and always took time to answer my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Bynum and his staff.

Dr. Bynum repaired both of my shoulders in the past two years. Both experiences and outcomes were positive. He even put me on a fast track for the second shoulder, to accommodate my busy schedule and so I would be healed in time to perform with my symphony.
in Estero, FL |
Had bad knee pain for eight months but wanted to avoid surgery at all costs. Saw another doctor at my home up North with no solution. First time I went to Dr. Bynum my problem was solved without surgery. No pain since then - and I am VERY active. All assistants were very professional as well. I highly recommend!
in Sanibel, FL |
I so appreciate Dr.Bynum's honest and non-aggressive approach to dealing with my spinal issues. I feel good knowing I am doing all that I should do at this point. No quick fix, just safe healing.

I received wonderful care from Dr. Bynum. He is sharp and perceptive. He quickly diagnosed my problem and prescribed a solution.
Cape Coral, FL |
I made an appointment with Dr. Bynum, who is in the same practice as my Orthopedic Surgeon. A friend explained symptoms similar to mine and explained the treatment that Dr. Bynum prescribed. Dr. Bynum, examined me and identified the exact location of the pain, then prescribed a 3 pronged treatment approach. I was skeptical about the Kenalog injection but it relieved the pain, immediately. I had a follow up appointment 1.5 months later and received an injection in my left hip.
in Ft Myers, FL |
Dr. Bynum and his clinical staff greet you with a smile and a handshake. He asks all the question you expect and truly wants to understand why you are there. One of the best bedside manners I have ever encountered. He explains the surgery he will perform and his follow up care is exceptional. Feels like you are visiting a friend!

in LaBelle FL |
Even after a few years from my last visit, it was like we had just seen each other yesterday. I blew my knee while shopping at Wal-Mart, and was able to get an appoint within two days after calling. He immediately took an x-ray and the ordered an MRI since the x-ray looked normal. I was seen within 2 days of the MRI being available, and was scheduled for surgery within 4 days. I walked out Surgery , and didn't require rehab.(With minimal discomfort) He even sent me a get well card.
Naples, FL |
Best doctor in town for arthroscopic hip surgery, if you are an athlete and have groin ,hip or leg pain this is the doctor you want to see. I was diagnosed FAI which not to many doctors in Florida area are aware off. DC Bynum gave my life back. Not only knowledgeable and professional but very patient and compassionate when a patient is going thru so much pain or discomfort.
in Naples, FL |
I had bilateral labrum repairs within a year of each other. I was very happy with results of the first one and didn't hesitate to come back to Dr Bynum for the second when I knew it was time. He's personable, well-trained, and very good at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone.
in Ft Myers, FL |
Dr. Bynum is an amazing surgeon with excellant people/bedside manor. My most recent experience with him was with my son. Dr. Bynum agreed to see him with one phone call even though he is only 15. My son had partially tore his ACL playing baseball and Dr Bynum and his staff took great care and time with my son. I am happy to report that without surgery and only physical therapy, custom knee brace and time (6 weeks) he has fully recovered. Surgery would have been traumatic and took 6 to 8 months.
in Lehigh Acres, Fl |
Just had surgery performed by Dr. Bynum and am impressed with his skill, knowledge and professionalism. Trust his judgement and appreciate that he listens to you. It's a busy practice but rarely felt that he or staff were rushing me. Have recommended him and will do so again.
in Ft Myers, FL |
Dr. Bynum has excellent patient skills, always sitting down with the patient and going over all aspects of an injury and recommended treatment. He and his staff are friendly and compassionate with excellent listening skills. I saw Dr Bynum for what I felt was a torn meniscus. It turned out to be so and a little more. Dr. Bynum performed a laparoscopic procedure cleaning it all up. The procedure was an overwhelming success and I am totally pain free. Thank you Dr. Bynum!
Ft Myers, FL |

I had a very good experience with Dr. Bynum. He is very professional and has good bedside manners. I was very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. And if I ever needed surgery in the future he would be the one I would see.
Ft Myers, FL |
Wonderful, gentle doctor with an excellent bedside manner. I almost don't want to recommend him so that I can always access him easily! I don't want him to get too popular!
Lehigh Acres, FL |
My experience with Dr. Bynum was amazing. He is professional, but also caring and treats you more like a friend than just a patient. He never rushed us out of the room and always explained things thoroughly. After being turned away by another doctor in the same practice, Dr. Bynum knew exactly what was wrong and when I needed to proceed with surgery. Within a few more months I will be completely healed and I know Dr. Bynum was the right choice for me.
in Sanibel, FL |
Friendly but professional. Explained surgery thoroughly. Excellent surgical result with rotator cuff. Recovery smoother and less painful than expected. Great Doc!

I was having difficulty lifting a cup of coffee and rising my arms high enough to comb my hair. After receiving an injection in my shoulders I feel like a new man. I have a new flexibility that was beyond my expectations. I am ready to play golf again. Thank you, Dr. Bynum
