What People Say About Dr. James Burks, MD

When I went to his office, I was seen by interns. They asked questions, I answered them as best as I could remember. I have had cancer, pituitary mass removed twice and had a gamma knife radiation the last time the mass was removed. The interns belittled me and labeled me as a problem person when Dr. Burks entered into the examination room. I got absolutely nothing from this initial visit. I will not return to this office what so ever.

He is a great Dr and has been around a long time. He does not beat around the bush, which helps me. He encourages me to be more proactive in my health. I am trying back on track. At times, scheduling is an issue. I showed up twice for appointments that were "bumped" as they called it..meaning cancelled and moved 2-3 months away without notifying me. OTHERWISE he is great with my diabetes and his nurse is awesome! She goes the extra mile to help too

I like Dr Burks. He is a good doctor. However his staff is horrible. They are rude. When Dr Burks wanted to see me in 2 weeks, they ignore scheduled me for 3 months and would not listen. They never fax my prescriptions until I repeatedly remind them. Today, again, my renewal on my insulin has not been faxed to tge pharmacy. It has been over a week. Now office is closed for the holiday. It's March 19th, what holiday! Dr Burks needs a discussion with the staff about customer service!
