James Bothwell, M.D., is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and fellowship-trained in sports medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester in New York and went on to complete his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency, also at the University of Rochester. Dr. Bothwell's special interests include ACL reconstruction, sports medicine, and specialty care of the knee, shoulder and elbow. In addition to addressing all facets of general orthopedics, he treats injuries such as fractures, tendon and ligament tears, and disease and inflammation caused by tendonitis or other orthopedic conditions. Other staff include; Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician, Athletic Trainers, Surgical and non-surgical spine physicians to assist with any of your Sports Medicine needs. Dr. Bothwell is currently Team Physician for Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan University, Southwest Assemblies of God University, and several surrounding High School programs.
