Dr. Allen is the best doctor that I have ever had in my 58 years of life. My wife and I started going to him when we moved to the Mooresville area approximately 8 years ago. He is extremely knowledgeable and is genuinely concerned about his patients. He is an excellent listener and encourages you even when he shares tough news. You never feel rushed and he always answers all the questions you may have in a polite, professional manner. Again, Dr. James Allen is the BEST primary care physician

I recently went to Dr. Allen to establish care as a new patient. He ran a blood panel and found I had high cholesterol. No big deal, right? Well, due to a family history of cardiac disease, he sent me for a cardiac calcium score which revealed partial calcification of several arteries. From a simple blood test and due diligence, Dr. Allen probably saved my life. Dr. Allen's staff also makes patient's lives easier by clearing insurance hurdles and scheduling tests and referral appointments.

I've been going go Dr Allen for several years now. I received a letter stating I was being discharged from the practice due to missed/ rescheduling appointments. He works for us. I used to trust Dr Allen but, I do feel in my opinion that he is drinking a lot..I don't feel he gives the care he once did..I wouldn't recommend seeing him until he gets his own life in order. Huge staff turnover in the last year.

Even though both our sons are physicians, I have always been somewhat anxious visiting a doctor. With Dr. Allen I feel so much more at ease. He has the rare qualities of being extremely competent and comfortable and that gives me a high level of trust. His staff shares this same non-rushed, caring attitude when I visit. I am very glad that I found this group to help me maintain my health in the future.

At first I thought I had finally found a doctor that was going to help because he is very kind. His bedside manner and that of one of his PA's is fabulous. Unfortunately the healthcare was not. There was major mixup about my medication and I ended up on antibiotics for 36 days & almost ended up being admitted to a hospital by an ENT because of the misdiagnosis/mistreatment. And their office staff is a joke. Never billed correctly, called the right #, or got me scheduled correctly.

Dr. Allen is very caring, open, honest and listens to all concerns. As a patient I didn't feel rushed and felt I had the time to discuss all options available. Having a lab on site was outstanding and the staff was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
