Dr. Jacques Jospitre, MD became interested in psychiatry as a means of helping others overcome what can often be debilitating issues, including chronic depression, anxiety and pain, as well as performance issues like attention deficit disorder (ADD). He co-founded SoHo MD in 2005 to help patients from all walks of life achieve happier, more fulfilling lives through deeper insights into their own abilities, passions and pasts, relying on a holistic approach to healing combined with pharmaceutical therapy as needed to help rebalance the brain's delicate chemistry. Dr. Jospitre offers an array of treatment options, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and medication management. Dr. Jospitre completed his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine as well as a business degree at the Zicklin School of Business in New York City. In addition to being board certified in psychiatry, he has additional training in buprenorphine detoxification for opioid addiction. Dr. Jospitre previously worked as a hospital director, overseeing the clinical and administrative staff for the department of psychiatry and as the medical director of a multidisciplinary outpatient medical center. His background in business, and previous work as a technology consultant, has provided him with unique insights into novel approaches that help patients make meaningful strides in every area of their lives, from school to work to social activities. Outside of his practice, Dr. Jospitre enjoys yoga, running, skiing, swimming, hiking, playing the piano, coding software applications and spending quality time with his friends and family. Within the community, he supports non-profit organizations that improve the lives of children in need.
