I had back issues and heard about Dr Salvant. I was told how good he was with all aspects of his care and he was just as I had been told. He was patient with me, answered my questions so that I could understand and even showed me a model of exactly what was wrong with my back. Anyone who need a neurosurgeon should go to Dr. Salvant. You won't be disappointed.

Outstanding! Explained everything very well; benefits and possible down side of any surgery. Compassionate and caring. Seemed to really understand what I was going through. Can't say enough good about him. Wish I'd met him earlier in this process.

My Primary care Doctor sent me to see Dr. Salvant. I arrived 30 minutes early as requested and was directed to a HOT patient room where I waited about 30 minutes for the doctor. When the door opened, Dr. Salvant's Nurse Practioner came in and introduced her self and proceeded with the examination. She semed to do a good job. Bit Dr. Salvant never came in an introduced himself to me and asked if I was comfortable being seen and diagnoised by his Nurse Practioner. Dr Savant is very RUDE!!!!!!!!!!

Rude, Arrogant, Insolent, Sloppy - He had the nerve to stand there & tell me that I have no herniated disc, no bulging disc, no annular tear - that multiple BOARD CERTIFIED & HIGHLY RESPECTED physicians who read the x-rays do not know what they're talking about & that he is the surgeon & that I should not be on pain meds but mild Aleve should be all I need. In fact, I have Stage 3 kidney disease so what Dr. recommends Aleve to a patient w/a known kidney disease. He set my treatment back months.

I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. That is a quote from Dr. Salvant, however, he was very surly, cold and he lied about my MRI and X-Ray results. I had been experiencing excruciating pain in my neck, and upper spine area, Dr. Salvant told me that there were no serious issues with my cervical spine. I took my reports to an internal medicine doctor and he told me tha my spine was messed up and he referred me to a spine specialist. NOT Dr. Salvant.
in Richmond VA |
I lost my hearing due to complications from Dr Salvant from him removing a cyst near my brain. He lied to me about being temporary and it is impossible to sue Doctor Salvant due to upfront cost. I was told an ENT would assist with his surgery, and this was also a lie. Do not trust this Dr.

I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Thank you for recommending and trusting me to care for you and your family and friends.

I utilize Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in my practice to increase access and appointment availability and shorten wait times for appointments. With relatively few Neurosurgeons nationwide and continuously increasing demand for our services, the use of NP and PA providers has become the norm rather than the exception.

A few words about reviews, ratings and electronic surveys.

Federal privacy laws and prudent judgement preclude me from responding to patient reviews on any internet site. Please thoughtfully consider the following as you read ratings and reviews.

Since 1994 I have performed over 5000 neurosurgical procedures and consulted in the care of many thousand other patients. Very few patients post reviews and those who do so are a tiny fraction of the patients any physician encounters yearly.
