I was sent from 3 and a 1/2 hours away & Dr. Scott saved my life on two occasions!!! Nobody could find a thing wrong but he did & we finally got answers!!! He is the most amazing physician I've ever had & I know it's a long ways for a doctor but my husband and I are going to be making the drive or having different ways to keep in touch bcuz he gave me back my life!!! For that I'll never be able to thank him for that!!!
I was transferred from my local hospital twice & each time he was there to welcome me & get working on fixing me!!!
Him & all the amazing residents that work with are the most amazing people that have come into my life since all this medical crap started!!!

Dr. Scott is a leading surgeon in Bariatrics and the doctor that others come to when there is a tough case to be solved or fixed. He is very knowledgeable and take great care of his patients. He instills the need for the highest patient care into his staff and associates. I think he may be the best Bariatric & Metabolic Specialists in the field. He is straight forward, tells it as it is, and does not waste your time. He always makes sure I have the answers that I need before the end of the appointment. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to take on the hard and life changing process of weight loss surgery!

I was a referral from another surgeon. I found Dr Scott to be very knowledgeable of my situation and was very thorough with explaining what all my options were. I did not feel rushed and he took a lot of time explaining things. He and his staff were awesome. Would definitely recommend this office

I have been very pleased here. Dr Scott has great bedside manner! Dr. Scott answered all of my questions about surgery pre and post op. I had no complications and I'm grateful that I could trust his ability to perform my surgery. His staff is very courteous and friendly every time I am at the office. I highly recommend this office.

We happened upon Dr Scott through an ER visit at Lee's Summit Medical Center. He performed multiple hernia repairs and emergency abdominal surgery. He had the perfect experience to handle my specific situation, and he saved my life, plain and simple. He maintained the line of communication with my wife and family and kept/keeps us properly informed. He tended to our medical needs and continues to follow my situation. I trusted him with my life and can't say enough how much I appreciate his work!

I had Dr Scott for my Gastric Bypass surgery and hernia repair, as well as my Gallbladder surgery, and I will say I had one of the best doctors anyone can have! It saddened me to find out he left the My New Life Practice, though ot was for the chance to teach. If anyone gets the chance to have him for a Doctor consider yourself VERY LUCKY. All the Dr.s. that are in the My New Life group are good doctors! He also did my sons hernia operation!

I've been heavy for years....this is the only Dr that has ever listened to me. I had a huge hernia that had been causing me heartburn for years, he was more than happy to take it out! My gastric bypass was indeed a blessing, it's a tool, not a cure all, but I'm convinced this kind, yet busy man, helped me on the path to a healthier life. He is in high demand, because he is THAT GOOD! His nurses are caring and very responsive post surgery, his office team is compassionate. I got my life back!!!
