Imran Virk, M.D., FACC, FASE, FSCAI, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty boards of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Virk completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He also completed advanced training in interventional and peripheral vascular disease at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan. During this time, he served for one year as Chief Medical Resident, Chief Cardiology Fellow and Chief Interventional Fellow. He also served as clinical assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Virk is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He has a special interest in endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease and carotid artery disease.
