Dr Santoro correctly diagnosed my issue during my first visit, after other doctors had it wrong for several years. A few years later he ordered that one extra test that found a blockage in left main when I was not feeling right, his practice group got a stent in, saving my life.

Perhaps my review is tainted by the time i spent waiting for the initial consultation and then for the test results. An hour waiting in the waiting room. Then 20 minutes in his office - both times. This was for my 81 year old mother. The time he then spent with us was minimal. In fact, when he met to give the results of the tests, we met with him for under 3 minutes. His time and our time could have been much better spent had he called and given the results. Not impressed

Dr Santoro placed an ICD in my son saying they last aprox 5 years. The lead wires broke in just over 1 yr. He said it was a fluke and replaced the device neglecting to tell me he left the old wires in place. The corroded wires from the first device affected the second device. That one broke as well and we were unaware of the danger. When my son needed a shock the device worked but because of the broken wires it was not delivered. He died. I was told he was an acceptable loss by FDA, no recourse.
