I have been to Dr Elkousy for a knee issue and a shoulder replacement. As an orthopedic surgeon he first choice is to not operate. I find Dr Elkousy an excellent consultant in the orthopedic medicine. The knee he suggested waiting before having any surgery. Three years later the knee is functioning well. Like the knee issue we have been going through the steps preparing for the shoulder replacement. He explained the recovery is a one year Recovery process and he suggested injections.

The waiting room was not adequately limiting space, staff was not wearing masks at all times (frequently removing the masks while speaking on the phone AND to patients while in close proximity) and I did not witness one staff person in the checkin/checkout area utilizing hand sanitizer between patients (after touching things like pens, clipboards, credit cards, etc.). I was advised I would be brought a walker for my fractured leg (didnt receive). I received multiple calls leading to my appointment regarding needed referral forms and to discuss payment for my appointment, but not a single call to make sure I did in fact receive the ordered walker or to check on how I was doing between the appointment and the scheduled follow up appointment. the phone calls again began regarding payment for the follow-up appointment, I opted to cancel that appointment and locate a new physician for my care and treatment. I will not return to this facility.

Did not have much waiting time. Dr. Elkousy is one of the best whenever you need surgery. He explains all your options with an explanation of all those options. When he does a procedure your down time is minimal. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Dr. Elkousy is one of my favorite Doctors on the planet. I always expect a good surgeon to be terrible at bedside manners, but Dr. Elkousy has the right balance. He is a bit aloof, but you can literally see the wheels turning in his head as he works out, quickly, what your problem is and how he is going to approach fixing it. He helped me through a horrific long problem of pain after another Doctor put in 12" bar on my femur after a complex fracture. I didn't want a best friend in my doctor. I wanted a savant surgeon to fix the problem and He is awesome at his job.

Wonderful doctor! Have seen him for the last two years due to knee issues and he and the staff was super friendly and helpful, he went over all options benefits and risks of each. Will answer any questions you have and try’s everything possible before surgery. Definitely not a doctor who’s in it just for the money or tries to push you out the door.

Dr. Elkousy is too busy and distracted to care to for patients. His entrance was behind a tall monitor on wheels that he maneuvered like a shield. He made only a cursory evaluation of my MRI with report, and he missed examining the X-ray disc altogether. No matter, he lectured me from a textbook, then he quickly left as if being pulled out of the room by the crazy monitor on wheels. The sloppy staff was so eager to move me along that they gave me another patient's disc as well.

I was not impressed with the doctor or his staff; everything was rushed despite being 15 minutes early for my appt, no bedside manner, no time took to thoroughly answer questions, & few options offered except to quit all vigorous activities. His PA was rude and added no value. I was supposed to be given a PT referral along with PT exercises for my knee but nothing was given, and when asked they had no idea what I was talking about. They forgot to give me back my MRI disc so I had to return.
