Dr. Hussein El-Khatib, MD is an addiction psychiatry specialist in South Charleston, WV and has been practicing for 25 years. He graduated from Faculty Of Medicine, Ain Shams University in 1985 and specializes in addiction psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine.
I went to dr el Khatib for years and he was the worst doctor that I ever seen. He is understaffed. His employees never answer the phone. My appointment was at 1 pm and I waited to see him until 9pm. I don't recommend him at all.

It is unconscionable for a mental health professional to think it is okay to make an emotionally vulnerable patient wait in his packed waiting room for as many as six HOURS to be seen. Not just once, butvat EVERY appointment. It's ridiculous, rude, and borderline abusive. Never again.

Dr. El-Khatib is a great doctor but his wait times are ridiculous. His staff is overbooking and you have to wait hours to be seen. For instance I had an appointment at 3:45 and at 5:00 he was just calling back the 3:00 appointment. Needless to say I had to reschedule. It is also hard to get...Read More

Brass office staff incompatible with the sensitive nature of psychiatric illness. Was asked to leave before physician saw me.
