I saw Dr. Bassewitz only one time but I found him to be very knowledgeable, very thorough, and very direct with his questions and answers about the problems at hand. He seemed to be honest in his assessment of the matter be it good, bad, or indifferent. Honesty is a rare quality now days it seems and for this quality alone I would recommend.

Dr Bassewitz gave me my life back. I had severe stenosis in my lumbar. Spine. He successfully operated on me with fusion surgery. I was free from the excruciating back pain when I woke up from surgery, I had my 6 month follow up and all is going well. Not only am I still pain free, I am able to stand straight again. I can walk long distances and resume normal activities. Dr Bassewitz has a great bedside manner. He takes his time explaining everything. He is amazing

Dr. Bassewitz is very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure he covered all my medical concerns. He did not rush out of the appt; he made sure to answer all my questions and concerns. I felt comfortable with him and trust his opinion on my treatment plan.

Dr Bassewitz took considerable time, analyzing my problem and offering good solutions for my spinal condition.

I visited Dr. B several times and found him to be arrogant and rude. Each time I brought him a current MRI and asked him to evaluate my lower back condition. In my visit last October I asked him for a second opinion as to whether I would need surgery. He said that my back was fine. He said that if I had a TILF procedure with Dr. Khavkin I would end up a a cripple. I had the procedure with Dr. K and I am now pain free for the first time in my 70 years. Neurosurgeons are better trained.

I spent the last couple years in immense pain, and finally gave in to see the doctor. I was referred to Dr. Bassowitz. My husband was unable to attend the initial appointment, but he phoned in. Dr. Bassowitz was extremely accepting of him calling in and explained the diagnosis in great detail. We initially tried pain management and ultimately went with l4/l5 surgery. My recovery has been amazing. Dr. Bassowitz and his staff have been unbelievable in their assistance. Thank you!!!
in Las Vegas |
Despite some of his negative reviews on here for his bedside manners I have to tell you guys and share that he was the complete opposite with me. He was very compassionate and understanding of my situation in pain. He help me come up with all possible solutions and all possible out comes. I seen him for a second opinion on a sacroiliac joint fusion. He was straightforward and honest about everything. He made me feel very comfortable and confident that he knew what he was talking about.
in Las Vegas, NV |
At first I wasn't sure of Dr. Bassowitz's attitude, but as I got to know him, I found him direct, never talked down to me, answered all my questions. He and his assistant were very caring during my hospitalization.
