I can't say enough good things about Dr R! He is skilled, compassionate, attentive and a great communicator. My surgery, recovery and follow up were beyond my expectations. I had several opinions prior to visiting Atlantis and no other Dr gave me options best suited to fit my need as an individual.

MD may have great surgical skills, but this doesn't compensate for getting shuffled to seeing PA much of the time. Even after special request to see only MD post op, PA was seen. NOT acceptable! Still having issues from nerve damage during surgery . AVOID THIS PRACTICE!

Walked out after waiting 45 minutes for a quick follow up appointment in the early afternoon. I waited 40 minutes for my initial appointment. Wasn't even going to see Routman. Saw his P.A. for initial visit

Dr. Routman only knows shoulders. If you ask him about any other pain he gets annoyed and puts you down for asking him questions. He is one of those tunnel vision doctors. He made me feel very small.

Not impressed. Fast and brisk. Gave praise to the previous surgeon who put me in the position I am now of needing other surgery. His PA ran in before him and proceeds to tell me how bad things are and that I would need shoulder replacement. This is before I saw the doctor for the first time.

Dr. Routman performed my A-C surgery. There was no post op talk to me or my wife about how the surgery went. No one told me about restrictons or for how long. When I went for my first post op visit, I did not see him. Again, there was no discussion, but a prescription for PT was given. The prescription had no information on the type of surgery, restrictions, etc. The PT left two messages for Dr. Routman's office, but no one returned her call. [Gets worse but not enough space to write more]

Dr Howard Routman is not only a highly educated & an exceptional shoulder surgeon, but he is a wonderful human being who genuinely cares about his patients. I have been a patient at his practice for over 10 years. I suffered prior years with a painful left shoulder & saw many doctors, but it was Dr Routman who was able to find the problem, correct it & my shoulder has never felt better. Dr R has a state of the art practice, exceptional staff & offers physical therapy treatment in house.

I was disappointed. I made an appointment, waited a good while, ie maybe 30 minutes, then saw a PA. he He was brisk, but assessed the problem, ordered an Xray, and then Dr. Routman talked to me for about two minutes.I was sent for therapy, which was fine. But I tried to get some adjustment of my script twice, and was unable to get another appointment for weeks. Then I tried to call again. and was never called back, although I called three times. Get the basics here, but no real care.

I waited for my appointment with Dr. Routman for one and a half hours. I waited in the waiting room then was put in an examining room and told Dr. Routman would be in. I waited there for an hour. No one came in to explain Routman's absence or how long it would be before he would see me. I was told Routman schedules patients every 5 minutes. If he spends at least 15 with each patient you will be waiting at least an hour if you're patient number five. This kind of rudeness is inexcusable.
