I was referred to Dr. Kushnick for my glaucoma. I was very nervous because I have had family members go blind from glaucoma. I had to wait a little bit to see him because he was running a little late but he was worth the wait. He answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. I am very fortunate to have been referred here.
He may be a good doctor, but I dread my visits to his practice...always a very long wait, many of the staff are impatient, some are rude. The doctor speaks so softly that he is hard to understand. It makes me wonder if the tech is transcribing his words correctly. When he completes my exam, he says 2 or 3 sentences...and there is little opportunity to ask questions. Most doctors give a summary of the visit or have a portal where you can read test results, etc. This doctor does not. It is needed.

The Dr. IS UNWILLING to see my mother because we wouldn't make an appointment till after she saw her regular eye surgeon for a status on her condition. If her condition improved with medication, she wouldn't have needed him. His office called me to get her in for a consult, I told them I would make the appointment ( IF) she needed to see him. Her progress was such that she would need his service so I called to make the appointment. The Dr. now refuses to see her. How independent and rude !!!!!!

Elderly father left sitting in waiting for over 2 hours before seen. Then waited another hour to complete exam. Staff rude and physician and staff seemed indifferent to our concerns. This office is run poorly. I'm sure there is another surgeon in the area that is just as competent.

The doctor may be excellent but he packs his schedule every 5 minutes and you can plan on being there at least 1 1/2 -2 hours. Once they forgot about me and after waiting an hour they wanted me to wait another 45 minutes just to go back to start the eye visit. Staff can be friendly to rude.
