I tried to put NO stars but rating made me put 1 star. I'd never refer anyone to Dr Ehrenfeld for SO many reasons...too many to tell... Caters to insurance companies, missed neuro things about my illness that any neurologist should have known (my Vagus nerve involvement, My diagnosis*Guillain-Barre*, crappy diagnostician, insecure w/referring out if he doesn't know your illness, refused to go over my MRIs, purposely didn't document my pain for his advantage, prescribed med i said im allergic to

At my initial visit w/Dr Ehrenfeld, he missed my classic "ascending paralysis" & autonomic nerve symptoms of Guillain-Barre (GBS) - super critical to dx it fast. He said I was "too strong" to have GBS - based on his bogus finger squeeze test - clueless! I had to suggest Guillain-Barre AND my own spinal tap to prove it "+". He didn't even know the proper IVIG treatment protocol, refused to review w/me my MRI's, was too proud to refer me out, & became angry at me when I got a 2nd opinion on tx's

He is very smart and experienced, also he is a good listener and has a lot of compassion.

During my visit with Dr. Ehrenfeld he seemed thorough in trying to help identify my medical issue. He answered all of my questions and took the time to explain his thoughts and suspicions. He was not dismissive and looked at the paperwork I brought from my primary doctor. I left feeling more confident than when I arrived as he seemed to have a grasp on the matter, which made me feel a bit better.
