Accepting new patients

Well before obtaining a medical degree, I became interested in health and nutrition. I correlated regular exercise and healthy eating habits with general well-being and with optimal digestive health. I was aware that unhealthy habits, poor sleep and emotional stress could wreak havoc on gastrointestinal tract function. Because of this background and my personal interest in such topics, I found it easy to relate to and then learn about digestive system function and disease during medical school and gastroenterology specialty training

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Clark "Female gastroenterologists are uncommon, and it is a privilege to be a woman in this field. Although I see male patients too, the majority of my patients are women simply because many women prefer female physicians. Accordingly, I specialize in digestive diseases that are more common in women, such as irritable bowel syndrome and chronic constipation.

My style of patient interaction is sincere, casual and lighthearted. First, this is my personality. Secondly, I have found it is much easier for someone to discuss embarrassing problems such as diarrhea, constipation or fecal incontinence in a less formal environment. These are serious issues that for many are difficult to discuss. I try to make my patients feel comfortable. I want them to know that they can tell me anything when it comes to their digestive health problems. It is my duty to be discreet and believe me, I've heard it all!""

I was In the office picking up my medication. I walked back with the nurse when I overheard I'm assuming This doctor because she is the only woman here. She was incredibly rude and VERY unprofessional. I can only assume she was firing a female employee from what I heard. If she treats her patients the way she treats her employee I don't want to be her patient!! Guess it was a blessing she was booked out so far and I had to see another doctor!!!

Do NOT bother calling this office! The earliest appointment is 3 1/2 months out! I cannot imagine how they would think that someone in intestinal distress would wait 3 1/2 months to see a doctor...WOW! This is one of the reasons people use the emergency room as a doctors office...

Holly did my endoscopy and initially agreed with a diagnosis and treatment plan that myself and PCP had come up with together. She seemed like a great Doctor at first, and I was excited to be seeing another woman for a very rare and debilitating condition. My second visit with her was not so great. Holly was completely dismissive, didn't take a complete history, and walked out of the appointment while I was still in tears and just said "I need to do more research" didn't even ask me f/up.

Dr. Clark was GI on call when my dad was inpatient at St. Marks. He listed his symptoms, she did NOT perform an exam, and said it wasn't his gallbladder. He was referred by another physician in her office to a surgeon for removal of his gallbladder because the ultrasound was indeed abnormal. Two wks later he went in for removal of his gb to discover his abdominal area was full of abscesses. He was septic and hospitalized for 14 days. We are lucky he lived. I wouldn't trust her with anyone.
I am very sorry that you were not happy with my care. I, like most physicians, went into medicine to help people. I truly care about my patients and I always try to do the right thing. I I do not recall your father's situation, and I am unable to comment (or potentially learn from this, if it truly happened as you say) since you did not contact me or provide your name. I hope that your father is better now, and once again, I am sorry that you were not happy with my care. Dr. Holly Clark
I appreciated Dr. Clark and her knowledge and professionalism. Her nurse was very kind and responsive to calls and messages.
This was a consultation with the doctor before the colonoscopy procedure was scheduled. The staff was very professional.
The nurse was exceptionally kind and personable. She was the one I talked to most. Dr. Clark was informative and open for questions.
Very pleasant it made me feel comfortable which meant a lot I would recommend their facility to anyone thank you Dr. Clark
