Dr. Hetu Parekh, MD
After growing up in Chicago and Boston, Dr. Hetu Parekh attended The George Washington University in Washington, DC where he majored in Biology and graduated cum laude. He went to medical school at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies and did Pediatrics residency at Long Island College Hospital/Beth Israel Medical Center in Brooklyn/Manhattan, NY. Dr. Parekh was a practicing Pediatrician for 10 years in New York City prior to his Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He has published several articles in prestigious journals. "I had been interested in allergy and asthma since medical school. Over the course of my practice, I saw so many patients suffering from 'the allergic triad:' eczema, environmental allergies, and asthma. In addition, I witnessed first hand the dramatic rise in food allergies. As such, I'm grateful to now be able to focus solely on allergy and clinical immunology. My approach to patient care has always been one of collaborative dialogue between physician and patient/family. Thus, it is very rewarding to treat and help the entire family!" He is married and the father of a toddler who seems to never listen to him. He loves to explore Austin by bike whenever possible!

Dr. Parekh was extremely knowledgeable and took his time in diagnosing my son's seasonal allergies. I trust his word as he gave me many options in how to deal with my son's allergies, and talked me through each one. I felt confident in my decision for treatment thanks to Dr Parekh's knowledge and experience. My son loved him as well! Can't recommend him & his office staff enough.

Austin, TX |
Dr. Parekh is amazing. It's very rare to find a doctor that sits down and spends time with you to make you feel like you're going to be OK. He makes sure you are comfortable before you leave his office. I would highly recommend seeing him as he is dedicated to making a plan to combat whatever allergy issue you are having.

Can Dr. Parekh be my doctor for everything? He's the best. Kind, calm, and explains everything with confidence and in a manner that is reassuring and friendly to the nervous patient (me) that dislikes going to the doctor. I've enjoyed every interaction with him.
