He is Board Certified in Allergy/Immunology and a Member of both, the American Academy and College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. In addition to currently participating in ongoing clinical trials, he has published several articles in prestigious journals and is a contributing author to the current Allergy and Immunology Board Review book. "I had been interested in allergy and asthma since medical school. Over the course of my practice in primary care, I saw so many patients suffering from 'the allergic triad:' eczema, environmental allergies, and asthma. In addition, I witnessed first-hand the dramatic rise in food allergies. As such, I'm so happy and grateful to be at AFAA to focus solely on allergic disorders, including asthma and clinical immunology. My approach to patient care has always been one of collaborative dialogue between me and the patient/family. And because of the strong genetic component of allergy and atopy, it's so nice to help the other family members who have the same issues!" Dr. Parekh sees patients of all ages for the full spectrum of allergic and immunologic disorders. He also speaks Spanish, Gujarati and some Hindi. He is married, and the father of 2 young children and can't wait to take them on long bike rides throughout Austin!"
This content was provided by Dr. Parekh "Simple: I believe in actual dialogue with my patient and clear communication between us. After I listen to your allergy problems and examine you, we will have a clear plan of treatment for both the short-term and the long-term."
