Dr. Lane performed a hip replacement surgery on my left hip in Nov. 2017. Dr. Lane is an excellent surgeon, and the surgery was very successful. I had minimal pain after the surgery, recovery went well and a recent annual check-up showed no problems with the hip replacement. I highly recommend Dr. Lane.

Dr. Lane is the best of the best!!! He is very knowledgeable, competent, kind, and compassionate. I trust him implicitly with all of my Orthopedic issues. For the few reviews complaining of delays in appointments; it is because he cares and will explain all procedures to prospective surgery clients, so your complaints have no merit. He is a great surgeon!

I have been seeing Dr. Lane for many years This visit was to check my prosthesis after a slight fall and for a second opinion on another matter. Dr. Lane is easy to talk to and quite thorough with any explanations needed. His review of xrays taken were very thorough also. It was a very helpful visit.

Dr. Lane accommodated my work schedule. A technician took x-rays which Dr. Lane reviewed with me. He evaluated my movement and we discussed past and future activity I could engage in. He took the time to listen as well as talk.

Dr. Lane has performed 6 orthopedic surgeries on me since 2013. 2 neck vertebrae fusions, reattach a ruptured biceps, a ruptured triceps and 2 total knee replacements. All surgeries were at different times and different circumstances. Every procedure was explained fully and their were no surprises. Every surgery was a complete success with full range of motion restored and minimal scaring. Not sure what else I can say, every surgery was a success with a positive outcome.

Dr Lane has taken very good care of me for my rotator cuff surgery and my total knee replacement. He is an excellent surgeon. I am not that fond of Ortho Virginia as I think they over schedule patients. I often wait an hour to see Dr Lane which is very frustrating

I’ve had been dealing with orthopedic pain for years before I found Dr. Lane. I wish I had found him sooner. He’s the only doctor I trust with my care. He knows my history thoroughly without looking at a chart because he cares. He’s a great doctor genuinely a good person. Dr. Lane is the kind of doctor you can trust with your life!

I think he is a really nice guy but not very knowledgeable about the spine. I called to schedule an appointment with a spine surgeon and was told he is a spine surgeon. That may be true but if you have a spine disorder you should look for spine specialist not a general orthopedic surgeon. If you have a shoulder or knee problem he could probably help you. Not with the spine. I myself would go back to him for a different problem but not the spine.

I arrived for an "independent" medical exam scheduled by an insurance company in a workers comp case. The office was empty with exception to a woman in the back who informed me my appointment had been canceled. Then the doctor provided a FALSE statement to the workers comp board that the exam could not be conducted because I couldn't get a videographer to commit to the time. Anyone this DISHONEST - only looking to make a buck and at the expense of others should be AVOIDED.

I came to Dr. Lane because of chronic hip and shin pain. He suspectef a back issue and after reviewing my x-rays, further ordered an MRI. He found arthritis and a mild spinal stenosis and prescribed a steroid which cleared up the pain the first day. I had practically forgotten how it felt to be pain free. I found Dr. Lane to be personable, thoughtful and caring, and he certainly solved my back issue. I plan on returning to see him if my back flares up again or for other ortho issues.

For all three appointments, he arrived 45 to 60 minutes late. He rushed through my initial exam and did not pause at any point for questions. At the follow-up, he did not go over my MRI with me at all. I was prescribed physical therapy, which made my condition worse, and finally given a cortisone shot, which had no effect. Dr. Lane was at best, a waste of time (primarily waiting for him to show up), and at worst, misdiagnosed and mistreated my problem.
