I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to him even if life depended on it! Dr Biel did a spinal fusion of my T2-T12 on 10-15-13. I was still having trouble 8 months later even after getting epidural injections and nerve blocks for pain. he was supposed to redo everything 6-24-14 n fuse down to my L4 and instead he removed ALL my hardware without telling me until after and did NOTHING else. I then had a cyst grow that I had to have another Dr remove and still deal with HORRIBLE pain to this day! HORRIBLE!!!

I felt like just a number. Told him where my most pain was and he actually ordered an injection for the second most pain area. When I went back for follow up I told him I still hurt in the #1 area!!! So he ordered another injection for that area!! So took me 4 weeks to get treatment for the reason I went to see him!!! Doesn't listen!!! Won't go back. Also Mercy takes too long to get anything scheduled. Not schedulers fault. Drs fault this dr is a back surgeon. Why can't he do injection??? Ugh!

When I first met Dr Biel I had a previous failed back surgery done by another surgeon. I couldnt stand more than a few seconds without experiencing extreme discomfort. After examining me and the xrays he had taken of my spine he assured me that he could make repairs and I would no longer be in pain. I am thrilled with the surgery Dr Biel performed on my back. I am finally pain free. Thank you, Dr Biel!

Dr. Biel was my surgeon for my fractures. He and his staff KNEW I was on birth control pill, yet never took me off. I complained of calf aches for weeks, and he and staff all brushed it off to damaged tissue from my accident even though it was getting worse, instead of better. I had a DVT and, since they ignored me, I had a pulmonary embolism. He also would only talk to me for a few seconds at appointments (1 where I asked if I should go off the Pill) and his staff was dismissive too.

I had a Harrington rod removed and screws and fusions done i was very impressed and Dr Biel was very professional and very caring and want to say that this was a really rough surgery but Dr Biel and his nurses and staff were the best Jerilee and Brandi were so compassionate and caring I thank everyone for helping me I'm very appreciative!
