Riverview, FL |
I was going to be a new patient with Dr. Amos but was never even able to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was extremely rude (wish I got her name) and told me to call a specialist. She’s not a doctor and I have no idea why she would turn away a new patient. I wonder how many new patients she turns away each day without anyone knowing. I can’t believe the manner in which I was treated and will never recommend this group to anyone.

I've worked as a Therapist in health care for over 35 years. I've had the privilege of working with all kinds of Physicians from different specialties. I've seen some very good and some not so.... Dr. Amos goes into the not so category. She has no empathy for patients and her bedside manor is awful. She refuses to write 90 supply for RX's for routine meds to help lower cost for patients or to make it easier for insurance co or for pt. She pushes you off and drops you if you stand up to her.

Dr. Amos has always provided me with the most excellent care! She has been the BEST primary care physician that I have ever had in my entire life! She is an excellent listener, and explains things very well! I never feel rushed, and she always answers all of my questions. She provides thorough and thoughtful care, and seems to truly care about my health. I highly recommend her!
Our practice aims to deliver the highest quality patient care. We love to hear about these positive experiences. Thanks for sharing this feedback with us!

I don't feel like Dr. Amos takes me seriously. I've had severe problems in the past and feel like because she wasn't my doctor then, she's not concerned. I have a weakened immune system but am not a person who visits overly often, maybe 3 or 4 times a year, still I feel as though she treats me as a hypochondriac. Last time I was in she literally said "I'm not going to look at that." I had to beg her to. Her response when she did "Oh yeah, you're right." I'm ready to look for a new provider.
We are sorry to hear this and truly value your feedback. Patient experience is important to us at West Florida Primary Care, so we will make every effort to address any concerns you may have. Your comments have been shared with our practice manager.

SHE ALWAYS TAKES HER TIME EXPLAINING MY MEDICAL SITUATION.....NO RUSH, RUSH, LIKE OTHER PLACES. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Dr. Amos and her assistant had to nerve to bust out laughing after walking out off exam room after my annual pap. So very rude and uncalled for. She needs to grow up. I've never felt as judged by a practitioner. I have Hailey Hailey disease, which is a skin condition. She tried to tell me that it was tinnea, fungus... SORRY she wasn't experienced enough to know about rare diseases.
