I had surgery in 2017 for chiari malformation. After several complications I healed, well in mid 2019 symptoms came back. I saw another dr in his practice because he has retired and since I’ve seen dr Kooshkabadi he has been the best surgeon I’ve ever had. So go to Kooshkabadi and leave abdo alone.

Was taken to the hospital after having a seizure with no warning. The doctor performed surgery the next day and removed a baseball size tumor from my brain. Saved my life! This was in 2016 and still doing great today! He's a great doctor and a pleasure to talk to! His staff was fantastic too!

Horrible experience. Abdo performed a discechtomy and double fusion on me. Was in tremendous pain directly after surgery. Had to be in ICU for the night. 8 days later I went into a coma for 8 days that was due to anabscess that had formed directly under the incision site and nearly killed me. Have had 3 more surgeries since then simply to repair what he broke. Turns out a year later that the fusion was not successful at all and my neck was collapsing on me, infection ended up moving into the bone causing me to have a MRSA based case of Osteomyelitis. I can no longer work, am having to apply for disability, life entirely turned upside down. In chronic pain now. During follow up after my coma all he seemed to ask or fish for is how I could have caused the infection myself. Abdo ruined and changed my life forever

This dr has seen better days. At 71 years old, I’d say time to throw in the hat and find a hobby. I don’t recommend this dr

He couldn't review my chart or take the time to understand what I did for work before assessing me. He pushed off everything o have said and left me feeling like I was unheard the whole time. Lots of questions answered withore questions. I felt like o had no choice but to deal. I have since researched and I had safer surgery options and could have prevented the nerve damage that I will live with for the rest of my life now. He was very slow to graduate to the next step and I always left in pain

Only concerned about the technical and immediate result of the surgery. Not concerned about the actual outcome or patient well being. I had an extremely poor outcome and needed to have a second surgery by another surgeon to repair the mess that Dr. Abdo made. Office staff was friendly and it was easy to schedule an appointment.
