Very knowledgeable doctor!! My husbands blood sugar was through the roof with our family doctor. My sister-in-law has been seeing him for years, so we went to see Dr. Pretorius. So glad we did!! Just listening to him speak and tell us what he has done make me a believer. Diabetes is now under control, cannot say enough good about this man!!

Was able to pinpoint my illness after several doctors failed to do so. I attribute this to his scientist mind, and great depth of knowledge. Some complain about his bedside manner. While his IQ seems to be in tip-top shape, he could definitely work on his emotional intelligence. Having said that, don't be fooled. This guy is a work-a-holic and makes his rounds to visit ALL of his patients in the hospitals late into the night. Underneath, he is very tenderhearted and cares deeply.

Staff could not book appointment appropriately. 'Nurse' could not draw blood and asked me to come back another day! Dr. Pretorius is a dangerous doctor. When a doctor has purchased expensive equipment to do tests at his office, watch out. He runs all kinds of unnecessary tests just to bill your insurance. He destroyed my thyroid with a radiation pill when I would have preferred to treat with medication. Offices and waiting room are not clean.
I have been seeing Doctor Pretorius for years, and he has been successfully helping me manage my thyroid and autoimmune disease . He was the only doctor to properly find what was wrong with me , when I had been told for years that I was imagining my illness . After he probably saved my life when I had severe hyperthyroidism and Graves' disease , I sent several friends to him who experienced the same thing . He cured them as well. Long wait ? Yes , but he makes your visit count.

I have been a patient for many years. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to talk with every patient. He has done an awesome job managing my hypothyroidism and has, kept my weight down. He cares about all aspects of my health and has always gone the extra mile. You may have to be in the waiting room for awhile but it is because he takes his time with each patient.
