Dr. Jacobson has been my psychiatrist for about 10 years. He listens to what I say, and prescribes medication that addresses the problems. He is very knowledgeable about how various meditations affect the brain. He doesn't prescribe some medicine that a drug rep. has dropped off or given free samples of. He will give you coupons if he has them, help you find medicine that has a genetic, or give you suggestions to help you find a way to save. You may have a wait in office. They follow the scheduled visits in order. Just be honest and direct with your needs and questions. He has always tried to provide the best care he can. He is kind, professional, and one of the best psychiatrists I have ever gone to. Please remember, a psychiatrist does not provide counseling. A psychologist does that.

I didn't feel like Dr Jacobson cared about me trying to better myself and help me learn how to cope with and resolve my problems. I felt like he just got me in for my insurance check and then pushed me right back out the door as soon as possible. Every time I would mention that maybe I should seek therapy since the medication was not working, he would just suggest the he up my dose.

This is the WORST DR. He should be in PRISON for what he does. He prescribed my husband medication that made him bipolar, delusional, suicidal, & have hallucinations. My husband has PTSD. The stimulants prescribed were excessive in the least. Thanks to Dr. Jacobson my husband has been in the hospital and I've almost lost him. After detoxing from the horrible drugs prescribed, Dr Jacobson prescribed the SAME ONES! 3 Months Later. TOTAL QUACK DOCTOR. Don't let your loved ones go HERE!

He spends enough time with parents but his wait time is horrid. Every time I go in I have to wait 20-40 minutes with a waiting room that is full. And he doesn’t see people in the order they came in. I once came in on time for my appointment and 3 other people came in after me and got seen before me.

We have seen Doctor Jacobson, my sons and I, for nigh over 10 years now. He is careful, and courteous. He listens and does not take offense as some do. He has kept us in good mental health. I am a challenge so, he goes well beyond what another doctor would do. Other doctors refused to treat me. One even dumped me on full meds. They were not knowledgeable but were egotistical. I have heard complaints of Doctor Jacobson which I see as personality difficulties not care or treatment. If you

He is good about listening to you and adjusting the dosage as needed, but his wait time is RIDICULOUS. My last two appointments I waited for over an hour before I was taken back. Either the staff is scheduling appointments too close together or he takes entirely too long with each patient.

In the hospital, kind and willing to listen; but, seeing him in his office in Dallas, he merely gives refills on meds.
