I have been seeing Dr. Hutchinson and staff since October 2019. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and really cares about his patients. Dr. Hutchinson has completed 2 major surgeries with the last one being January 2021. I didn't think I would ever be able to walk again due to the damage from a car accident November 2018. I highly recommend him and the PA's have been amazing as well. TOC has great orthopedics and I will continue to drive 2 hours just to keep him as my doctor. He showed me that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I suffered a nasty break to my upper left arm in June; this was the 4th visit to TOC and the 1st time I've seen Dr. Hutchinson since my initial visit on June 25. We discussed the fact that despite my PT efforts, I'm not improving as I feel I should (or as my PT person thinks too) so he's refer me to a Dr. Walters for a possible shoulder replacement. I also asked for the name of a knee doctor as I have a bad left knee from a HS injury. I now I have trouble getting up and down but can walk w/o too much of a limp once I'm up. He immediately had it x-rayed and showed me why a replacement is in my future tho not for awhile; he gave me a shot, think a steroid, which has helped greatly. I walked out like a new person and 4 days later still feeling great. The rest of the story is that Dr. Walters is also a knee specialist so we'll have a lot to talk about when they make my appt. Tho Dr. H has a busy schedule, he went the extra mile to check out my knee and do the shot. I'm so appreciative.

I went for a final follow up visit on my tibia repair. Dr Hutchinson gave me some helpful suggestions on how to regain full leg extension. He’s a dr that seems to care about his patients and wants them to recover to the fullest extent. I really do appreciate that.

I was in a very bad car accident and Dr Hutchinson did a very good job of fixing my broken pelvis and hips. I also had a broken ankle with a very bad laceration. I will also tell you that I have had a below the knee amputation on my other leg. Dr. Hutchinson was very forceful and adamant that I would 100% loose my leg to infection. I thought he stepped over the line and made me feel like I was backed into a corner and had to make the decision to amputate. I am happy to tell you that I did not let him do the surgery which was in March of 2020 and I still have my leg and the laceration has healed. I feel many doctors are too quick in suggesting amputation. I'm not sure they fully understand the implications after you leave the surgery table. Full recovery from a below the knee was about 18mo. It takes that long to find a prosthetic that fits and allows you to walk again. I am still recovering from my injury and will probably require another surgery, but I will have my leg.

Dr Hutchinson saved my life (literally). I was banged up from head to toe from a motorcycle accident. It took them 8 days and 11 units of blood to stabilize me enough to transport me to Tallahassee specifically for Dr. Hutchinson to do what had to be done. He is not only a fantastic surgeon, but is very personable and explains things in detail without pulling punches. Can't say enough good things about him.

Doctor Hutchinson did surgery in April 2018 that ended in a full hip replacement and repairing a broken leg on my mother after a nasty fall and a failed repair from a different doctor (different state). He was concerned due to her elderly age but has found my mom was determined to walk again and in January 2019 he dismissed her from his care proudly as she walked out of his office. He and his staff (especially Mary Strange) are the BEST!!! Thank you TOC!!

After a traumatic accident in March 2017, I was airlifted to TMH and received care there. Dr, Hutchinson and his team worked hard and did so much in providing care to me. Him and his team have excellent beside manner and also gave encouragement during the healing process. After multiple orthopedic surgeries on my left leg and arm at TMH by Dr. Hutchinson and going to physical therapy, I am able to walk, drive, and go back to work again.

Dr. Hutchinson and his team worked diligently to save my right leg after a traumatic accident. I was airlifted to TMH 10/9/17 and discharged 11/6/17 after multiple surgeries. During my darkest days Dr. Hutchinson and his staff managed to encourage me to not give up, the fact that he is a top notch surgeon and has an awesome bedside manner will have me referring friends and family to him until he retires.
