Dr. Hanan Hussein is a board certified family physician by the ABFM and a Fellow with the AAFP. She has been serving the Galveston County area for the last twelve years at UTMB and currently holds a position as Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Hussein is now looking to be closer to home by serving the League City community, where she has lived for the last 14 years. Her goal is to provide exceptional patient-centered health care for her patients that is efficient and accessible. Dr. Hussein is a compassionate and dedicated physician and patients love the warm, fun-loving care she provides. Dr. Hussein strives to care for the whole family, from infants to seniors and all in between. But her dedication to medicine is not only to provide exceptional patient care for her patients, but also to the learners that she supervises. She has been recognized by medical students and family medicine residents that she trained over the years. She has received various awards such as the John P. McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine, Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award and UTMB Family Medicine Residency Program, Teacher of the Year Award in 2013 and 2016. Dr. Hussein has also been recognized by her physician-peers and awarded the "Texas Doctors Rising Star Award", published in the Texas Monthly Magazine in 2013, 2015, and 2016. Her personal interests include being active in her sons' school, participating in their extracurricular activities, and assisting in charitable fund-raising. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and helping her husband with his boy scouts den.
