Dr. Elzaim grew up in Lebanon where he went to high school and completed his undergraduate studies. After earning a Masters degree in Human Morphology from the American University of Beirut, Dr. Elzaim moved to Galveston where he earned a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology and his MD with honors. While at UTMB, Dr. Elzaim conducted medical/basic science research and published in peer-reviewed journals. He completed his orthopedic training at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in the heart of the medical center. He was awarded the Tullos award by the department of orthopedic at BCM. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Elzaim enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, traveling, playing tennis, jogging, kayaking, windsurfing, and downhill snow skiing.
