Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Vatheuer "My goal is to be pragmatic and patient-centered. I really try to understand where patients are coming from, and that involves doing some serious listening up front. I like to do a very thorough exam. Then, when the diagnosis, or at least the appropriate tests to get to the right diagnosis are clear, the goal is to form a partnership with the patient, and figure out the best treatment plan together. I have two young children and enjoy skiing, hiking, piano, photography, and traveling."

I saw Dr. V yesterday-waiting for report copy to see reporting per my subjective. He's cordial, empathet-ic, courteous, caring & responded to my symptom input, acknowledging pro-advocacy for me (LnI fraud against an IW, wrongful claim closure based on past poor MD reporting; very little support for employer-caused trauma conditions) . Untimely treatment now for 5 years. He's willing to help me get treatment by connecting me to people with legal understanding as an attending MD! He loves Jesus!

I think his heart is in the right place, but I do not recommend Dr. Vatheuer. He brings his assistant into all of his appointments - to take notes, ostensibly. I found this to be distracting, and ultimately resulted in my lack of openness. I like to speak privately with my doctor, without observers. Dr. V. also attempted to remove skin tags. I have a lot & some are large - he removed very few. He also didn't prepare me for the pain. He should have referred me to a dermatologist.

I met this doctor for the first time to have my 6-day old baby circumcised and the experience was very traumatic and painful to my baby and myself. I had called a 911 emergency in the middle of the process because the doctor was constantly looking for a tool while he was operating and sending his assistant to look for the right tool and the process took him over 1-hr and my baby was continuously crying throughout. He also tried to cut my baby's foreskin with a scissor without sharp blades.

I took my son to see Dr. Vatheuer for his sports physical and well child exam. It is evident Dr. V genuinely takes interest in his patients. He spent quality time talking to my 14 year old son about what to expect in puberty, what to expect entering high school, sports and grades. Such a well rounded visit. I am so thankful for great docs like Dr. Vatheuer!

I went for my annual check up, and I was still charged co-pay for a doctors visit. He did not issue any prescriptions nor anything special except normal routine annual checkup. Please beware, he will charge you no matter what.
