What People Say About Dr. Guy McKhann, MD

Wonderful! Dr. McKhann fully explained my options. I have normal pressure hydrocephalus. I started with a spinal tap to remove some fluid. I was filmed before and after the tap! I could tell immediately that I was much better after the tap. The doctor fully explained my choices. Waiting was a possibility. In time , the condition would worsen again as the fluid builds up.i chose to go ahead and have the the surgery right away! I have learned to get the first appointment of the day. When leaving there are always four or five patients waiting and they come from all over the US to see Dr McKhann! He has at least four different specialties and is very much in demand. In spite of all this, he is a very caring doctor who does not rush you. Hard to say enough great things about him!! Happy

Dr. Mckhann ia a gifted surgeon. The surgery he performed on me was incredibly difficult. I know because read the operative report. He is verry articulate and takes great pains to make sure you understand what he is going to do and how he is going to do it. He is a very kind and gentle physican and clearly loves what he does. He has very high standards for himself and for those around him as very fortunate to have someone of his calaber.

Dr. McKhann is amazing. He took a very scary situation and turned it into a positive experience. He was very reassuring and confident (but not cocky) when describing my condition and the procedure needed to correct it. His bedside manner was very excellent, not only with myself, but my wife in the waiting room. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients.

Having had surgery performed in May 2016 in Overlook Hospital in NJ to revision my husband's brain shunt, the outcome was disastrous. We spent the next months talking to neurologists and getting information as to why this surgery was not successful. Ultimately we were recommended to Dr. Karen Bell who recommended Dr. McKhann Our experience with him was excellent. He revisioned the shunt and my husband has regained both cognitive and physical abilities which were lost to him for 6 months.
