A miracle worker. He has kept my knees pain free without any surgery when I could not walk or stand without agonizing pain.

let me star by saying Dr Leotta was a complete stranger when my 100 year old grandma was admitted at JFK after she felt and broke her hip. Dr Leotta is friendly, take time to explain and listen. after the surgery he called my personal cell phone and gave me details about the procedure, he also said that I can called him any time: " I rather here from you that from a nurse 1 hour later" who does that? thank you so much Dr Leotta.

I am so disappointed in Dr Leotta. I went to him with a very painful knee. I was given Supartz injections and felt somewhat better after the 2nd shot. But the 3rd shot made the pain unbearable. A plea for help got me a cortisone shot but my requests for an MRI resulted in his telling me "no" unless I agreed to surgery. When I said no to surgery he lost interest in me . And refused to see me when I went to his office. He had seemed so caring . PHONY!! Don't trust him!
It's unfortunate that you feel this way. Given our lengthy discussions regarding your knee pain/pathology, the only treatment options would be weight loss, another round of supartz, or arthroscopic surgery which does not have a good track record with your level of arthritis. Given your adamant refusal to consider surgery an MRI would serve no purpose. Understand I will always do what is in your best medical and financial interest regardless of your understanding.

Stay far away from this guy!!!
This comment was posted by a community orthopedic surgeon who is not board certified and whom I've performed revisions on over 20 of his prior patients. I encourage anyone who has actual issues with their doctor to ask them directly or at least not hide behind the anonymity of a post such as this.
