So i was going to this practice and seeing someone else - never saw Dr. Thomas. well the person i was seeing left for other adventures. I went in to have my blood work done on a wednesday with a follow up in two weeks on a wednesday. the time came and i received a call that Dr. Thomas was only seeing patients in this office on Tuesdays and Fridays. Well i explained with was not going to work cause i work those days and it's not easy for me to get one of them days off. I asked the person who called me to have someone call me with my test results. 2 days went by nothing on he fourth day i receive mail from the office. It was my test results.. Really people not everyone knows how to read these reports... This is only one issue i have had with this office. They would call my scripts into other places instead of where i have them called into every month I even gave the phone numbers... I will never go back to this office again or refer the office...

My review, pointing out the rude staff, has been removed. Dr. Thomas has been impossible to reach.

Dr. Thomas was my primary care physician for about 2 years. He is a good doctor, but he tends to treat symptoms rather than root causes. If he prescribes a medication for you, do research to see if there is a natural treatment alternative. Like a lot of good doctors, he's not too good at managing his staff. They play loud music in the waiting room plus lying and being rude to patients.

Its a brand new facility, therefore it is quite nice. I didnt feel like he really was listening, he spent the majority of his visit looking information up on his phone. I understand the use of the phone for information to help make decisions, but he needs to work on personalized medicine. Why go to a physical office, might as well use an online physician. I like to see confidence in my physician, but he acts more arrogant then confident.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Thomas for the past 4 years and find him to be thorough, professional, and attentive. If we have medical questions he is open to asking other professional peers what they might suggest or recommend. Dr. Thomas listens to our concerns and takes sufficient time to answer them. His collaborating with other professionals promotes healthier patients. We both have recommended him to other acquaintances as the opportunities have come along. A very caring staff!

We went to their new office on Fort King Street office! It was so nice being with a doctor who actually takes time to listen to you and explain everything she is doing for you in full detail! It's also great to have a doctor who knows what's going on with you completely and is not confused about why you're seeing them! If ya'll need a great, caring and wonderful doctor, go see Dottie Cook at Thomas Internal Medicine! She is definitely the very BEST!

I was amazed at a prior review, at how short-sighted folks can be. How can someone not see that two of the qualities mentioned, are directly related? It is because Dr. Thomas is compassionate that he sometimes runs late. He doesn't turn away emergencies or rush someone needing to talk. I am not a local but someone who comes through Ocala several times a year. Once he went out of his way to help me through a medication issue. He was gracious and willing to help. It was much appreciated.

No patient return calls, zero compassion, seems to feel superior to area residents. Wait times very long.
