I've seen Dr.Teas for about 25 years. My first antidepressant worked and kept me from losing my high-stress job. When I needed a med change in about a year, the first change he made got me back on track. After many good years, the end of a 30-year relationship and a move left me severely depressed. Dr. Teas stood by me through one inpatient and two outpatient hospitalizations. His medication trials and his referral to a great therapist slowly brought me back. I'm happy and grateful today.
I have zero doubt the other reviewer's concerns are true. The entire DSM belief system is nothing more than an iatrogenic illness creation system. As pointed out in Anatomy of an Epidemic, the ADHD drugs and antidepressant result in bipolar misdiagnoses. And my research has found the bipolar drug cocktails are known to create psychosis, via anticholinergic toxidrome, but this is also misdiagnosed. Teas declares people's real problems odd delusions, then harms people with his drugs.
Horrible! Please do not use this Dr. He has had my brother on meds for years that are making him a zombie. He is very addicted and just lays in bed all day. That addition lead him to alcohol. I wrote Dr Teas a very heartfelt letter asking him to help me save my brothers life instead he is killing him. I even went in to see him He never stopped prescribing, sees my brother for 30 min each visit to give him prescriptions. My brother cannot function or cope at all and is on a downward spiral.
