Dr Purnell is amazing. My Aunt broke her hip right before we were moving her from Pittsburgh to Florida. He performed successful surgery and worked with us on a short term rehab plan in Pittsburgh area, then down to Florida stayed in touch with us to ensure recovery and weight bearing approval. His attitude and skill set was a godsend for us. Highly recommended!

I have had a great relationship with Dr Purnell from day 1. He has a fun personality. He gets to know patients and sees you as a person not a patient. He cares about his patients and what is best. He spends ALOT of time explaining and re-explaining until you understand and feel comfortable. When I brought broke down crying, he picked up the pieces.... pushed me on and helped me to do what was best for me. I am thankful he is my surgeon.

Dr. Purnell is the best! I've been to a number of orthopedic surgeons and his knowledge and bedside manor are by far superior to anywhere else I've been. He is very thorough and I laugh every time I go in to see him no matter how much pain I'm in. I would highly recommend him!
