Dr. Purnell is a fantastic person. Every time I saw him, he was very happy and positive. He explained my procedure clearly until I completely understood it which was extremely relieveing. He is very personable and approachable. I would highly recommend him to friends or family.

Dr.Purnell is on of the best doctors i ever had to deal with. He made my family and I feel so comfortable each time i had an appointment or my two surgeries. I would truely recommend him to anyone. Hes a wonderful guy and has a great personality, and the rest of his team seem to be just as good but i have yet to try anyone else out because i trust him and have a hard time trusting doctors. Thank you for everything Dr.Purnell u saved my life!!!!!!

I have had a great relationship with Dr Purnell from day 1. He has a fun personality. He gets to know patients and sees you as a person not a patient. He cares about his patients and what is best. He spends ALOT of time explaining and re-explaining until you understand and feel comfortable. When I brought broke down crying, he picked up the pieces.... pushed me on and helped me to do what was best for me. I am thankful he is my surgeon.

He listens and really cares about his patients- that is hard to find anymore. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Purnell is the best! I've been to a number of orthopedic surgeons and his knowledge and bedside manor are by far superior to anywhere else I've been. He is very thorough and I laugh every time I go in to see him no matter how much pain I'm in. I would highly recommend him!

After less than perfect promises from previous doctors , I was skeptical , but Dr. Purnell and his staff made me a believer. Everything he said I was going to gain from surgery I did and MORE ! ! AWESOME team and great bed side manor !
in trafford pa |
i felt dr. Purnell was a very competent dr. he did have a wonderful bedside manner and was always ready to listen to all my questions and answer with patience and understanding. I would go back to him and refer him to others. (PLUS he is QUITE handsome!!!)
in Murrysville, PA |
No bedside manners. Didn't explain my condition to me where I comfortably understood it. Made me feel like I just wanted drugs because I said I was in pain, when the last thing I wanted was drugs and never picked up the script anyway. Felt very rushed while seeing him and felt the doctor was condescending and arrogant. Made a terrible comment about working out and how it's bad for you??? I didn't much care for most of the time seeing him.
