Dr. Nicholson has performed two shoulder replacement surgeries for me in the last five years. I can say unequivocally that he is THE reason I have been able to continue an active lifestyle, even as a senior citizen. He is quite simply one of the finest medical professionals from whom I have had the privilege of receiving medical care. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone and everyone that I encounter.

Dr.Nicholson is excellent all around, as a surgeon and as a person. He treats all of his patients as individuals as a person with their own conditions, he takes his time with you to explain what he is going to do, what he has done and your therapy during recovery. You do not need a second opinion. HE IS THE BEST.

I went to Dr Nicholson after I received a recommendation for surgery. I have a trusted friend that had similar issues and had a surgery with less than desirable results that came to Dr Nicholson and received followup surgery to correct his issue. Dr Nicholson made the repair and he is very happy with the care and results from Dr Nicholson and his staff.

Dr. Nicholson was outstanding. I worked with him on the treatment of my shoulder fracture-dislocation, which was a relatively tricky case. He was extremely thorough, to the point, didn't miss a beat and provided outstanding advice and direction. His treatment plan was highly appropriate and his predicted recovery curve was accurate to within 1-2 weeks (on a 6-month horizon), which is pretty impressive. I always knew what to expect while working with Dr. Nicholson and would recommend him to anyone who has a joint or bone related injury.

Dr. Nicholson performed left shoulder replacement surgery on me on August 22. I have had my follow up my sutures or Staples and then removed however I would’ve really liked to have talk to Dr. Nicholson in person. I did not.

I came for a second opinion since I had an odd posterior shoulder dislocation. My cousin who is a PT recommended Midwest. Dr. Nicholson and his team were great. They all worked together to find the best solution which was surgery. He explained the ways he could fix it since I likely had a labrum tear that didn’t show up on the MRI from the previous hospital and I have RA which can complicate things. For being a major joint surgery it went really well. I had small incisions where he said they would be and I was not in a lot of pain after surgery like previous surgeries I have had at different hospitals. I bounced back very quickly and 2 months after surgery my shoulder was very mobile and functional and that was without PT which was delayed due to a death in my family. You can’t even tell I had surgery since the incisions healed so well. I would say it is pretty impressive for a shoulder to heal that quickly without even starting PT and I won’t need much PT since it has healed so well.

I FELL A FEW MONTHS AGO AND AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY KNEE AND ARMS AND SHOULDERS. I'VE BEEN GOING TO MIDWEST ORTHO FOR YEARS. I LOVE THE DR. AND THE STAFF. THEY AR VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HAVE A VERY GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER. BUT MOST IMPORTANT IS THEIR SKILLS. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST. DR. LEVINE DID MY HIPS AND MY KNEE AND DR. NICHOLSON DID BOTH OF MY SHOULDERS. THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME.

Dr. Nicholson came very highly recommended by a health professional. After a year of kidding myself that I didn’t need surgery I continued to have increasing pain and unable to do many things. IT WAS TIME!! From my first appointment to the surgery and the three month recovery, I can’t say enough. Why did I wait??? He is fabulous! I have my life back after a total shoulder replacement!!
