Dr. Hicklin cared for my Mom while she was in intensive care. Her illness was life threatening and she was on life support for an extended period of time. Although Dr. Hicklin never gave up on her, he was very honest with us about the seriousness of her condition, which I really appreciated. He was such a great doctor that we sought him out after her release and he is now her pulmonologist. He gives her the same great care in his office as he did in the ICU.

Dr. Hicklin saved my life when I had meningitis. I have never been so close to dying and without him, I am sure I would have. He didn't have much to work with because I was so sick but he never gave up on me and he knew exactly what to do. He is so down to earth and easy to talk to.

My father is a nonagenarian and has used Dr. Hicklin for years. He trusts Dr. Hicklin as Dr. Hicklin is compassionate, thorough, and relays information in an easy to comprehend way. If he has a question, Dr. Hicklin or one of his excellent staff respond to him in a timely manner.

Dr. Hicklin is an incredible pulmonologist! I've been his patient for almost 30 years, and he is the only pulmonologist I will see. I've lived long past my life expectancy as a direct result of his great care. He has also provided great care to my mother and daughter. In my opinion, Dr. Hicklin's greatest skill is that he treats the patient, not just the disease. He takes each person's life situation into account as he develops and administers treatment plans. That's a very special skill.

He walks an extra mile for his patients. When I need to call him I get an immediate response. He explains my illness in laymen terms so it is easy to understand. Very caring about his patients and takes the time that I need. Very understanding of my needs and concerns. If it wasn't for Dr Hicklin I would not be here today. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

First time I saw Dr.Hickland, I was a mess & crying alot. Frustrated with the fact that all doctors I saw took no time to talk to me. I had no idea what was happening to me or why. Dr.H. actually saw I was a mess and took the time to sit and explain to me what was going on & why. I knew I had narcolepsy but he took it further & explained Hypersomnia to me. Got me on a new med & finally with his help approved for disability. He made me feel like I mattered & I'm so greatful for that. Thank you!

I have had my share of physicians throughout the years and I have to say Dr. Hicklin is one of the best. He has always took the time to listen to my physical and mental health. When he heard I was having a hard time with multiple friends passing away he wanted to make sure I was talking to someone about everything that I was feeling. He didn’t hesitate to say I could always talk to him if I needed. It’s rare these days to find a nice and caring physician like him.

I am sure Dr. Hicklin is a great Doctor, but we did not get to see that side of him, he was not compassionate or caring in our case, and even yelled at us at one point and turned to walk out on us until my daughter told him that was unprofessional if he left. I felt he did not have the best interest of our loved one in mind. Once we obtained a different Doctor, our care was excellent.

I was being treated for nocturia. He wasn't too interested in spending any more time with me than necessary in my office visits. The main thing that bothered me was that he prescribed for me a drug (Xyrem) that I later found out should have been prescribed only as a last resort, after traditional drugs had been tried without success. Xyrem caused me to have dangerously high blood pressure. This went on for several days before it was discovered by a doctor at my own medical clinic.
