Dr. Byrd did a carpal tunnel release on my left wrist Nov 2016. Results have been excellent. Very pleased with outcome and did not require any follow up PT.

Doctor Byrd with his excellent care and reputation in this community as a great orthopedic surgeon not to mention his prestigious accolades in the medical community make him a clear choice. Dr. Byrd Did a great job with my scaphoid and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Byrd and his staff did great. I've been in pain for years with my wrist and after surgery, no longer have pain.
in Olympia, WA |
I don't believe that Dr. Byrd has any idea that humans are attached to hands and wrists. He was errant and ignorant of my health history. I had to tell him both times I met him (day of surgery and 1 follow up appointment) that I have a near fatal reaction and am allergic to ingredients in the medication he was going to use in surgery and then prescribe for treatment afterwards. Didn't seem to care, I really feel as though I was not involved in the tx of my hand .

I had a CMC joint replacement in my right thumb area as well as a dequarvains release done on Monday the 12th. I feel great so far. The procedure is done with a nerve block which lasted 36 hours for me today I can bend my elbow and wiggle my fingers. Im very pleased so far. My pain level seems to be much less than my carpel tunnel release which was done by a different doctor. Thank you Dr. Byrd for everything. Cant wait to golf and water ski again.

The first time I saw Dr. Byrd he instantly was able to give me information as to what he thought was wrong. My second visit with Dr. Byrd was less than 10 minutes and he completely ignored everything I told him and didn't even go over my test results himself, then gave me a treatment plan identical to one I had already tried with no success. I didn't feel like a patient, I felt like a number or a chore for him. I have a feeling it's because I was an L&I patient, but that's no excuse.
