This content was provided by Dr. Brunin "Dr. Brunin received a B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas and completed his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. In his final year of residency training, he was elected by the ophthalmology department to serve as the Chief Resident. He published multiple research articles and book chapters while in residency, earning a research award in his final year. At graduation, he was presented with the Stephen N. Schindler Award for High Ethical and Humane Standards. He completed a fellowship in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at the University of Colorado's Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute in Denver, Colorado. During fellowship, he performed many refractive surgeries at the Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado."
