This content was provided by Dr. Berlet "Dr. Berlet is a founding partner of the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center (OFAC) at the Westerville Medical Campus in Westerville, Ohio, a practice devoted to foot and ankle care. He is past Chairman of the Education Committee for the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and currently serves on the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) Council on Education. A consulting physician for the Columbus Blue Jackets National Hockey League franchise and the former Chief of the Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. Research & Innovations: The author of more than 100 scientific publications, Dr. Berlet is founding editor and editor emeritus of Foot and Ankle Specialist. He and his surgeon partners at OFAC run one of the most prolific research teams in foot and ankle and have focused on a broad range of conditions including working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on the development of total ankle replacement, pioneering techniques in the treatment of Achilles tendon conditions and have done groundbreaking work with stem cells to assist in healing after surgery. Education & Training: Dr. Berlet is fellowship-trained in both sports medicine and foot and ankle surgery. He earned a BSc degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. He earned his MD from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine, Calgary, Alberta. He was a fellow in foot and ankle surgery at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC, and a fellow in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of Toronto. Dr Berlet is board certified by the American Board Of Orthopedic Surgery and The Royal College of Surgeons (Canada)."

Good technical/surgical skill, but overshadowed by a reckless & opportunistic approach to diagnosing and recommending surgery. He recommended a ligament surgery that did nothing for me.
