I have seen Dr Barkley over 20 yrs and I the work he do for me.. He found a medication to control my seizures. But his staff is horrible and rude.. The only thing about is that you wait for him over an hour but I can say it is worth it. Henry Ford needs to employ more neurology doctors and better staff, so his patient are able to see him more and doesn't have to wait . His nurse or secretary doesn't return calls..

I have Epilepsy and have had it for over 25 years. I have seen many Neurologists over these years and have tried a lot of medications in this time. Dr. Barkley is a Dr. that I have respect for and would recommend to anyone with Epilepsy. I also consider myself someone that can ask the right questions and have faith with all his answers. If someone needs some support with handling Epilepsy please feel free to email me at Sonnycorleone98@yahoo.com . I can always learn too

Dr Barkley is a great Neurologist and a great person. Only negative issue is having to wait as much as 2hrs past your scheduled appointment before being seen... So best thing is too do is schedule your appointment as early as possible...

I went to him because supposedly he wasn't a pill pusher. I'm trying to get to the root of what is triggering the seizures-not just mask it with loads of meds. I went to him and was happy with the 1st visit. But the 2nd one he had a med student so he told me that I will always be on meds and to stop going down that path. He tried to increase a med I was already on the max dosage of because [he] wasn't paying attention. What would he do if it was him? It's our life, it is his livelihood.

The experience I've had with Dr. Barkely and his staff has been amazing in my view. Dr. Barkely has been the only Doctor/neurologist I've had that was comforting, had knowledge of epilepsy and treatments of epilepsy I still haven't heard of from any other neurologist Ive had prior to him. Eachtime I've gone, both the staff and the environment within the office was comforting. The experience has been great!
