I was having a lot of pain in the back of my leg near my foot and thought that it was the Achilles tendon, but after seeing Dr. Alvine he diagnoised it as Posterior Tibial Tendonitis and had me fitted for shoe inserts which I am still waiting on, should hopefully be here in the next week or so. He was very through and he explained why they didn't like to give cortisone shots in that area. I am hoping for relief once the inserts arrive.

I have seen Dr. Alvine several times over the paast 20 plus years for my lower back pain and also for an ankle issue. I had previous gone to another orthopedic office and the Dr. there didn't help me, Dr Alvine identified the problem with my ankle and set up a plan to correct it. With my ongoing lower back over the years Dr Alvine has worked with me on alternative measures to relieve the pain , never quick to do surgery unless it is necessary and going to benifit the patient .

Dr Alvine identified my ankle issue right away. He told me the risk/ benefits of surgery. He drew pictures and explained my issue well. I have less pain now then before surgery. He took his time in appointments.

Our family has seen Dr. Alvine and nurse Mary for the last 18 years, at least! He has seen all 6 of our kids at some point for feet, knees, legs, hips or backs! He always makes time to explain, he is conservative in his treatment which we very much appreciate, and he or Mary always follow up with a call or text after a surgery or procedure. We can not say enough about the great care we have received over the years and highly recommend Dr. Alvine and Mary!!

My son broke his wrist playing hockey. Dr. Alvine and Mary got us in and spent a lot of time making sure my son understood the healing process. They recommended an OT to get his brace and we’re great to work with. He’s had no issues with his wrist. We would highly recommend Dr. Alvine and nurse Mary!

I had extreme amount of pain in my left leg and hip. He was so compassionate and caring. He put me on medication, and ordered a MRI, which reveal a rupture disc. I had a micro disc back surgery. I can do everything I use to. I go to the fitness center almost everyday! He gave me my life back !!!

Dr. Alvine did ankle replacement surgery on my left ankle in March 2015. Before agreeing to operate he did a complete review of damaged ankle and my overall health to make sure I was a good candidate. He also discussed the different brands and their advantages. He was very thorough. Surgery was very successful and I was able to hunt, hike and bike without any pain within 3 months.

I traveled 500 miles to have Dr. Alvine perform a checkup on my ankle replacement which he performed 21/2 years ago. The staff was very professional, friendly and willing to do whatever it took to make our visit successful. Dr. Alvine not only helped us determine our next steps for additional surgery but as a back surgeon as well, provided us with extremely good advice on our options for back surgery!! He even recommended surgeons in the Milwaukee area (where we live)
