This content was provided by Dr. Berdy "Gregg J. Berdy, MD, FACS is a graduate of Duke University and St. Louis University School of Medicine where he graduated with cum laude honors. He began his postgraduate training in ophthalmology with a residency at St. Louis University. This was followed by a cornea and external disease fellowship at the University of Michigan and then by a cornea and ocular allergy fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Harvard University Doctor Berdy returned to St. Louis in 1990 and entered private practice and despite a busy clinical practice, has continued to participate in clinical research protocols for new pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of dry eye, allergic conjunctivitis, anterior uveitis, cataract surgery and glaucoma. He has served as a PI for over 100 FDA clinical trials, and was involved in the initial FDA clinical study to evaluate the VISX excimer laser for correcting myopia. He continues to conduct research protocols for refractive surgery. Dr. Berdy has been the principal or co-author of twenty five publications in the ophthalmic literature and has authored seven chapters in ophthalmic textbooks. Doctor Berdy is involved with the ophthalmology teaching program at Washington University where he serves as attending physician in the resident clinic. Additionally, he has presented didactic courses at the annual American Academy of Ophthalmology on topics including the diagnosis and treatment of ocular allergic disorders and management of LASIK complications. He has presented courses as an invited speaker at the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Eastern Allergy Society/Southwest Allergy Forum and the State Societies of Ophthalmology of Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri. Dr. Berdy was elected to membership in the prestigious Castroviejo Corneal Society (now known as The Cornea Society) as one of approximately 250 members worldwide. Dr. Berdy has served both as President and member of the Board of Directors for the Missouri Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Additionally, he was elected as a Fellow into the American College of Surgeons in 1995, and has participated as an Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1997. Dr. Berdy has served as the Director of the St. Louis Division of the Heartland Eye Banks since 1992 and was named Medical Director of Heartland Eye Banks/Saving Sight in 2013."

Although a slight wait time, it was worth it. Having serious eye issues and complications, I wouldn't want to be in the care of anyone other than Dr. Berdy. From the time he takes with each individual patients, to seeing emergencies on the weekend, I am truly grateful for such a great physician.

Way overbooked. Takes forever to get an appointment and I am usually there 3 hours. Has you return for multiple appointments and tests frequently. I am changing eye doctors.

Way overbooked!! Takes forever to get in for an appointment and then you can sit and wait for 3 or more hours to see the doctor. Last week I tried calling the receptionist to cancel an appointment and I waited for 23 minutes. finally left a message saying No More! Not coming back.. this man...more
