Dallas, TX |
The doctor explained my problem very well and spent a lot of time with me. He did a fantastic job on my surgery.
Dallas, TX |
Very knowledgeable physician. Did an excellent job with my surgery. Very kind and compassionate

He is way off on diagnostics. Poor technical skills. Over charged for what I got. Chose the wrong procedure, and then botched that! I would never recommend him and I will never go back.

Dr. Gilliland, as far as I'm concerned walks on water. My husband had an unfortunate lower lid injury while out of the country. We rushed home to get help and ended up in Dr. Gilliland's office. He was gracious, confident and reassuring my husband's eye would be ok with surgery. We were in the OR the next day. The results are phenomenal. Unfortunately, my husband had a life threatening event the day after surgery. Dr. Gilliland took time out of his day to stop by the hospital and see him.

The doctor seemed friendly. The billing staff was incredibly unprofessional and rude - to the point that I cancelled my surgery and went elsewhere.

Great experience with Dr Gilliand. He was on a team of surgeons that removed my sinus cancer. Exceptional work and easy to speak too.
in Mesquite |
I was a RN diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri. I saw him a few times, with my vision continuing to worsen. He shouted at me I am not going to do surgery on your eye's just because you feel I should. I no longer saw him. I found John McHenry,MD previously Professor @ UTSW. He saw me immediately after I explained my condition & current vision problems. A 3 hour extensive exam I was to return in 5 days. Upon my return surgery was scheduled right away optic nerve fenestration. My vision was saved.
Dallas, TX |
The doctor was good. The staff was unprofessional and not very courteous. The exam room equipment was dusty and staff did not clean equipment in front of patient before use. This is a good example of how important the professionalism of staff is. Though the foctor was good, I do not have confidence in him, or the practice, due to the way his staff interacted with me.
