Albuquerque, NM |
Mr. Heywood treated me like a burden. Did not explain future treatments and process of treatment to reach an unexplained goal. Very confusing and indifferent. I wanted a clear plan and a clear goal, however, i was not able to get that from him.He dosed off at one point while speaking with him. I felt that I was at his mercy due to a pompous attitude from Mr. Heywood. I have no doubt that he is a talented surgeon, but, he had not reviewed any of my imaging, only by written report.

extremly knowledgeable, very helpful and kind. Saved my life
in Albuquerque, NM |
I am not a patient of this MD but happen to know 3 people whose lives he saved through his stellar knowledge of general surgery and his ability to identify and rectify botched surgeries, which is a real talent (fixing someone else's messes). He doesn't have the best demeanor, but he is a wonderful surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I wouldn't expect to have a warm and fuzzy experience with any surgeon - that's not their job.
Albuquerque, NM |
He was terrible rude, and condescending. He bragged how wonderful he was more than explaining what he thought was wrong and when he did say what was wrong he had no clinical way of backing it. He used the word GI CRIPPLE many times in describing me and also told me that he didn't need me I needed him. I cried the whole time he talked to me, he acted as if I had made my self sick and he had a terrible God complex.
