Dr. Aram was raised in Gaithersburg, MD. She majored in biochemistry and psychology at the University of Maryland, receiving High Honors for her biochemistry research. After briefly working at the National Institutes of Health, she received her M.D. at the University of Vermont where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. She did an internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and then completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Aram is board certified in gastroenterology and has authored several articles. She was recognized as a one of the region's top gastroenterologists by Northern Virginia Magazine in 2011-2015.
