Has absolutely NO bedside manner. Takes absolutely NO interest in the patient. Did not ask for any symptoms. Did not like for the patient to ask any questions. I will never see this doctor again.

My 13 years son hurt his finger in classroom last month. We went to see first hand surgeon. The surgeon told us the surgery is needed and will use general anesthesia. Dr. Gabel was the fourth hand surgeon we see. Dr. Gabel treated my son without surgery. My son recover very well. The first hand surgeon is reviewed 5 stars on this board. I might give him 5 stars if I did not see Dr. Gabel. If you don't know surgeon is needed or not, do more research and seek second, third .. opinions.

Poor patient follow up. After multiple visits that lasted around 5minutes a piece I requested a phone call for results on a test the Dr suggested I have. I was told that I would only get an explanation of the results if I went in to the office, which is over 3 hours round trip out of my day, time I don't have. I let the staff know I could not come in and asked that he call me with results, which would take less than a few minutes to explain. Very disappointed, I expect a higher quality followup.
