Dr. Harkins is AMAZING!! He did my hysterectomy a year ago, and I felt 100% better afterward. He called me on my second post-op day to check on me and again a week later. I recently went to see him for a suspicious breast lump and he sent me to get testing done "just to make sure everything is benign," and luckily he was correct, it was. He has a fabulous bedside manner, treated me with respect, kindness, caring, and compassion. I did not feel like I was rushed. He spoke to me as though we were friends instead of a stranger telling me what to do with my body. He made sure all of my questions were answered and that I understood everything. I would HIGHLY HIGHYL recommend Dr. Harkins to anyone who is looking for a great doctor. I completely trust his opinion and advise and he never pushes anything on you that you are not comfortable with. Even though he is a surgeon, he does not immediately jump to surgery. He was a true delight and I will continue to see him!! You should too

Dr. Harkins and his entire staff are incredible. This is the way a doctors office should be. They spend time listening and working with you. They are friendly and knowledgeable plus compassionate and understanding. He is a surgeon, so be prepared to hear your surgical options, but that is to be expected when choosing a specialty surgical practice. I highly recommend him and his team.

Great Surgeon! Helped me tremendously by doing two surgeries for my endo 10 years apart. Did a surpercervical hysterectomy the first time saving one ovary because I was so young & didn’t want to create more problems at such a young age. Second surgery he saved me from needing extensive reconstructive surgery to my urinary system. Took my appendix based on his experience of endo patients having appendicitis in the future. Turns out the appendix was filled with endo! Responds immediately to emails

What a great doctor I just got diagnosed with endo and I saw him bc of infertility problems. I had none of the side effects after my lap surgery with him and I feel better now than before the surgery! Now my next thing is i pray he gave me baby dust!!!! Great doctor and he's very understanding and easy to talk to.

After our first meeting I left a specialists' office once again with tears of gratitude in my eyes. That quickly changed when just before my 3rd laparoscopy I was pressured into receiving an IUD. (it was only after exhaustive conversations that I caved in, rationalizing that it was one treatment I'd yet to try.) 4 months post op, still bleeding continuously, in severe pain I had to convince him to remove IUD and leave my body to regulate itself (happily it's begun to). Inadequate pain support.

Dr Harkins is the best Dr I have EVER had. He is a very caring, down to earth doctor. I was misdiagnosed with a prior doctor leading up to some of my female problems. Dr Harkins completely took care of everything. Seriously-if you are looking for someone who takes interest in their patients-he is the one. I can't say enough good things about him!!

He has taken on too many patients, which leaves his quality of care totally lacking. He isn't completely honest about his surgical methods, and definitely not thorough with most of his surgeries. Just rushes through. He also can be very callous and dismissive about continued pain after surgery.

Has always been quick to call or email me back when I have a concern. Took the time needed to answer all my question so during the appointment. He listens to me and how I didn't want to be treated with a certain drug and respected that. Very caring and compassionate surgeon who knows so much about endometriosis.

He appears nice, but chronically withholds pertinent information, lies by omission. Performs too many surgeries, over medicates patients. Says he is concerned about overall health and quality of life but will not follow through on many things, will avoid responding to email, calls, and will cancel appointments if he doesn't want to see you. He plays favorites with patients, crossing lines with some with too much response and neglecting others. I wouldn't recommend him, he is no "expert"
