I first met Dr. Catinis after having cervical spinal fusion surgery which left me unable to swallow for more than 3 months necessitating a feeding tube. Dr. Catinis gentle, soothing manner helped me through a very frightening time. More than a year later Dr. Catinis is still my GI doctor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a GI specialist.

Dr. Catinis is an excellent and very pleasant doctor. In September 2020, he was called into the hospital on an emergency to repair my torn and bleeding esophagus. He did a great job. He has since done an endoscopy and colonoscopy for me. Found Dr. Catinis to be very knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to answer all my questions to my satisfaction. After all the procedures, he took the time to explain what he found and where we wound go from there. I very highly recommend Dr. Catinis. I have had no side effects or negative results from my experience with Dr. Catinis. At this time, Dr. Catinis is treating my wife.

Dr. Catinis is the man! I was having severe abdominal pain in my twenties, which was very concerning to me. He helped remove my inflammatory polyps and treated my inflammation, which relieved all of my pain. He and the staff are great!

After my visit with Dr Catinis, I felt positive & confident that I can get thru my diagnosis. We discussed what symptoms I previously experienced & was pleased with the fact that nearly all of my symptoms have resided. Dr Catinis made me feel that he cared about me as a patient. Dr. Catinis found my cancer during a sigmoidoscopy. He then started the referral process leading to my successful chemo/radiation treatment. I feel like this man needs a shoutout, and for all who know him as your Doctor or friend, I'm sure you can relate. Dr. George Catinis is unlike any other doctor I've ever encountered. He exemplifies qualities we all should strive to carry in our day-to-day life- excellence and patient/client care, in particular.
First off, I was a bit under the weather and decided to give him a call. He squeezed me into a full waiting room on a Friday within the 2 minutes of us being on the phone. Also, when my bloodwork came back, he was off that day, BUT STILL called into work to check on me and the results.
His nurse, Candy, is also awesome and was so excited to deliver far less critical news to me than they originally thought.
If you ever need a gastroenterologist, he is your guy, 100%. Thank you, Dr. Catinis!

One of the best medical professionals I’ve encountered in New Orleans. He did a complex surgery on me and it all went well- I’m glad I was in his hands and not with some uninterested doctor, as I’ve been to too many who just don’t seem to care about the patient. I trust Dr. Catinis’s judgement. Besides being excellent at his work, he is empathetic, respectful and overall a nice doctor.

Dr. Catinis diagnosis and treatment ended 4 years of miserable stomach pain. The difference between him and previous doctors was that he listened to me and asked me questions to draw out issues that I did not realize were that uncommon.

Dr. Catinis is an excellent, caring doctor. When I had an urgent problem this year, he fit me into his schedule at his clinic. He took time to explain everything and is very sincere and comforting. I have been going to Dr. Catinis for a few years now. Dr. Catinis is very genuine & patient person. He takes his time with you, explains everything and does not rush your appointment. Once you are done seeing Dr. Catinis, he takes you to the check-out desk. Staff is very friendly and will give you a copy of your test results, etc. Dr. Catinis' office has a gPortal online system - which is nice because they will message you and you can get your invoices off of that system.

I began seeing Dr Catinis when I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease. On my first visit my liver enzymes were very elevated. He explained that my obesity was the cause and that I needed to lose weight. He sent me to his dietician to start on a 1800 cal diet. At that time, the Ideal Protien diet was offered to me. I decided to go on this diet program. With the assistance of Daina his dietician I lost 70 lbs and corrected my liver enzymes. I am very happy with their healthcare. Thanks!
