About Me

Care Philosophy

My father was my inspiration to become a physician. His sense of duty to his nation and our community instilled in me the desire to go into medicine. He had served our country as a surgeon in WWII and served the Austin community in numerous ways. He and Mom encouraged my sister and I to go beyond college and obtain post-graduate degrees.

Initially gave 5 stars based on squeezing me in for an emergency appointment. Dr did not meet with me before or after surgery as he promised. I was treated as a checklist in the follow-up appts after surgery. He did not listen to me as a patient and instead kept restating the same things over and...Read More

I've had three spine surgeries in 20 years with Dr. Tipton. All surgeries were warranted and this belief comes with working judiciously with Dr. Tipton to confirm the surgery need. His approach starts with anything but surgery until the appropriate options are exhausted then surgery only after...Read More

I found Dr. Tipton to be rude and condescending. I was in the exam room and needed to go to the restroom and walked out of the exam room and Dr. Tipton asked, Can I help you? like I wasn't supposed to be there when I am already wearing a hospital gown. In the exam room as he was explaining my...Read More
